Dissapointing things on resurrection!!!

#1
let me just say resurrection is one of my favourite dvd's of all time but 2 things that are dissapointing are that.
1. The film isn't thugged out enough and gears the viewer completly to the softer side of pac, that his mum and family want him potrayed as, personally i like the hard hitting side as well which was left out a bit in the movie.
2. At the end when they show all the fans how come nobody is shown from tupac board or from australia, there are more pac fans in aus than most other places around the world such as amsterdam or whatever? i mean this is the most famous 2pac site and they didnt ask for pictures of people from this site. Just seems it would of been giving something back to the site that has been representing for pac for ages now.
Anyway just a couple of small things that i wanted to say about what i dont like about this otherwise great film. opinions?

For one thing, you're kind of late, as Resurrection came out a LONG time ago.

1. The film isn't "thugged out" enough? Pac died at 25, and probably around five years of that 25 was spent "thugging," so do you think they'd make a film entirely based on ONE side of him that came out only in the last few years of his life? Personally I like the thuggish Pac more, but I know that even though a film showing that side would be more entertaining, it wouldn't be accurate. It would be suitable if it was a film about Pac's music, but this was about his LIFE.
2. They probably wanted to show that Pac had all types of fans outside of the U.S. as well, not just the stereotypical street nigga or a wannabe wigger (which composes probably 75+% of this board, which would explain why they wouldn't ask most of the fags on this board to send their pics).

for no.2: if they did show somebody from 2pacboard, it would no longer be relevant as its now called streetspeaker (if they mentioned the website). they want this movie to be relevant, and the cities in the pics will always stand. also, they would have asked for money seeing as the exposure from a documentary released in multiple formats and getting a semi-wide release is not easy to come by.

this website does not have that kind of money.

i saw the movie when it first came out so its just something i noticed lately when one of my friends watched it and thought pac wasnt really a hardhitter because in the film its geared towards making him look like a sissy/sensitive etc. i like the more gangster side and that was reality so they shouldnt of made him out to be mother teresa the whole film.
agreed there should be some more death row era stuff. that being said though its still a great film.

we're all a little late, tupac died a decade ago. we still discuss the albums he put out, 2pacalypse now through rose from concrete volume 2, regardless of when they were put out.

1. i both agree and disagree. all the various documentaries have each painted a partial picture of tupac, and i think that as a whole, the 2pac documentary catalogue paint a good picture of who tupac was. while you're right that there's a lot of interview clips that show the softer side of tupac in resurrection, i think his thug persona was portrayed in the movie too. personally, i like 2pac, the whole package, so whatever new footage is being used in documentaries, i'm never disappointed really. only when they edit his words do i have a problem with it. that's actually my only complaint about resurrection.

2. good point. then again, who cares lol. i'm sure they just used stock photography as that means less paperwork. if pictures from this site was to be used, i'm sure whoever's depicted would have to sign a release form. since the majority of this board is from elsewhere in the world than the states, that means sending a contract back and forth through regular mail. it's a lot easier to just use photographies from stock photography sites, or photographies that they are already allowed to use without having to worry about a release form. of course, this is just a theory.
