Has anyone had their teeth whitened? What did you use? Did you go to the Dentist, or get an at home kit?

I was looking at getting some custom trays, the ones you can fit yourself, rather than getting lab made ones. And then using some of the dentist grade whitening that you get from the pros.

I want them done, as too much coloured food and drink is starting to discolour them. But I can't be arsed to go to a cosmetic dentist, and my dentist wants £700.

I used Crest White Strips and it worked great. I couldn't believe that it actually did cause usually I'm skeptical about these products but it only took like two weeks. That was a while back, though. I've smoked many a cigs since then.

I have and use Opalesence. They are custom fitted trays. Before that I used Crest white strips and even my dentist was impressed. After I started using the custom trays I got cavities :( My dentist said it was not from whitening but I had never had a cavity before.

Crest white strips take like a month? and I notice a difference with Opalescnence in one day. Depends how patient you are and how fast you want results.

I did whitening at the dentist and it looked great, but it was very expensive and Id probably do it myself next time.. Also my teeth were super sensitive for a few weeks after

I use the toothpaste with Whitening. Crest with Mint Scope? I dunno. Whatever looks good at Wal-Mart. I brush and mouthwash twice daily so I they should be white. And that's with smoking cigs. And I chew gum. So for every shitty thing I do, I do three good things to counteract it.

TL;DR, whitening toothpaste works just fine for me. They have whitening mouthwash too.

I drink a lot of coke, I smoke from time to time but my teeth are fine. I don't need a hollywood smile.

Masta: I DONT NEED A HOLLYWOOD SMILE.
Yeah, that's me.
No, my teeth are good just with brushing alone. They are white enough. Most people don't need to whiten their teeth because it often does more harm than it's worth. Unless your teeth are keen to get ugly I think it's enough to brush them and keep a fairly fine diet.

Pittsey, last night i saw a commercial from some Australian whitening toothpaste that they have justed started selling in the UK, I googled it and the reviews were impressive. Only thing is I cant remember the name right now, i'll check my history when I get come from work.

EDIT: I think this is it; http://www.whiteglo.com/ I remember them giving you a free toothbrush and said it was only available through Boots.

I have it down to 2 options....

The professional kit - The (teeth whitening) Dental whitening kits shop.

Or the Crest 3D Strips - Crest 3D Whitestrips Professional Effects Reviews - Teeth Whitening Reviews

Both are about the same price....
Buy the strips. I was tempted to buy them the other day myself. I said fuck it because i didnt think it would work. Find out and let me know too. I'll probably get them anyway.

I obviously brush my teeth too but they could be whiter. I use Crest Pro all health whitening tooth paste. Its like the one loaded with everything you need for your teeth and it doesnt get to the shade I want.
