Cool new way to play games

looks quite fun to play, but you will eventually strain your back after leaning over so much.

seems like a bit of a health hazard to me, because while your moving around the table or desk to get to the other elevation of the city/map, concentrating on the screen you could trip or slip over by not looking where you are going.

apart from the above problems, looks quite good. a good idea, of course it needs developing so that more games can be played and more functions added to the device.

Looks cool, but for how much this game would cost and how quikly you would get over it.. I wouldn't buy it.

If you could play GTA like this on the other hand..

it looks good and inventive, but limited as its ultimate flaw

its another step in FPS games to say the least, looks like they have taken the Wii concept and added a 3D dimension to its controls

i don't see the concept of controllers with cameras to be a great success

It seems that you could also sit on your chair and play "on your desk" or point it outside and play a game like it happened right there. At least that's how it's supposed to work from what I see.
The point is that I doubt that there's a technology that would properly render objects scanned with a basic camera and add them to the database in real time. Even 3d scanners are not flawless and you get a lot of bugs to fix.
On that video I bet that this device is programmed to recognize specific shapes that are already in its database so when it spots a minature of a city that contains known objects it creates a digital reconstruction of it using objects that are already in its memory. If that's how it works then it's very limited and you would have to buy specific sets of objects to scan and in best case it would work like lego - you could create your own sceneries from real pieces that are recognized by this device.
