Car Sh'rooms

#1
I will be buying my first car in the near future, from a car dealership in a local showroom. I am just to wondering what is the usual etiquette used when buying a new car. Do I phone up and make an appointment, book myself in like I am arranging an appointment with my female trainer at the gym. Or, do I just walk in there with a fat pocket saying 'I want that one.' ??? I know what I want, and where to get it from. the process of buying a new car is new to me

They're going to ask what you're looking for as far as a monthly payment. Don't tell them. If you say you're looking for something around 250 a month, they'll start at 275.

Talk to a salesman to get the info. on the car and decide what you want. Then, politely ask to talk to the manager of the dealership and talk money with him. A sales guy will let you go out empty handed much more easily than the manager will. Also, try to go towards the end of the month. Not the very, but close, probably the early 20's as they could be trying to meet quota. Just bought the Bimmer a little under two months ago, and it worked like a charm.
