I think its stupid, simply becuz not every white person actually hated malcom x, there are people on this board, white people that have malcom on there lists of favourite and influential people, the pope has raised awareness for black people and Africa(The Motherland)it was like the place he visited the most.

Malcom is one of my heros and in my opinion should be talked about more in schools but to say that the pope shouldnt be mourned is bullshit, the man is a Great Person, i aint religious but i cant deny the good things he has done.

Dude, i respect the Pope...but do you know why the hell he was going to Africa so much??? To let them know that they are part of the Catholic chruch and this shouldn't be seen in a good way....

Fair enough, but the Pope isnt and wasnt viewed as a threat by black people, so comparing the two was irrelevent. Like I said, Pac wrongly understood it as Malcom = leader for blacks, Pope = leader for whites.

Not to mention promoting racial animosity is just wrong. Yes people, even Tupac made mistakes.
even so, the pope is still seen as the highest rank in christianity and as such is a considered a leader, and the song was about religion, the comparison was not between the leaders of whites and blacks , the line was made to prove a point, obviously you can't find a revoluionary white speaker nowadays because why would they need one? malclolm X stood against racism and prejudice and it doesn't take a genius to see white people are not a minority, also note that christianity is not just for white people. You seem to have misunderstood what i said, whilst i would agree that 2pac was indeed racist against white people and it's wrong, i would still support the idea that the line from the song is powerful, if you notice the previous line you would notice that he is talking about religion and rules imposed by preists and churches which in turn leads to the highest rank of churches and the chrsitian religion i.e the pope.

The next Pope could easily be black. He probably won't be, but it's a possibility. And if he is, the Pac's line becomes extinct.

i think the good point is that the pope, this high, highest ranked holy person in the world, and like i said huge politicaly too, and then comparing him to fairly centralized malcolm x, and fairly centralized to blacks in america. Both fault for all riddance of oppression, of any people, of course, thats realized. but come on i'm not sure how much it is, but how ignorant is it to talk about the pac line and just be like 'well obviously pac didnt know shit about it, look how much people the pope helped in Africa." Since when was people helpin people in Africa ok shit in America - well with pac, since when would he be that concerned with it. millions help people in africa. why would you talk about the pac line bein deep shit like, 'should black people cry if this white guy dies? only if white people cried when this black guy died." that in turn is shallow, and all of it seemingly just generalized. i believe to pac and Contradictory as pac was throughout, u know he didnt mean it as a negative statement as in ..regardless the good either have did, hes a huge white figure so when he dies, only cry if..these white people cried when this huge Black figure died. 'i'll study any great man, white or black, and study them until they are no longer great to me.' Pac even, at the end with all of these things bein said and occurin, frowned at how Malcolm is used as a face too much and an excuse.6

peace
