Better Dayz

Do yall think that Better Dayz is a good release by the estate?

I think it is because most are OG'Z and the ones that arn't are better than the remixes.

Take Street Fame, the new remix is by far supreme to the OG. This is the example I think Amaru should of taken for each track. Just do the odd tweaking here and there.

I know Still Ballin or Thugz Mansion havn't leaked but the new remixes are dope as fuck.

The new mix of My Block is good because we already have the OG released on the The Show.

The two tracks that are OG, Never Be Peace and Militrary Minds are the only 2 that are better than the remixes I think.

Just a question, the track They don't Give a fuck about us - it seems to be shit quality but on Don't go 2 sleep EP - it is the master version. Anyone know why?

All in all, I think it is a good album, I also think Until the end of time album would of been fantastic if it wasn't for Johnny J and all this editing skills. If Pac said DEATHROW, it should be kept in because that is what Pac said. Also one track I wish was on there is Words 2 My First Born with sax.

I would be intersted to find out what Dante has to say about BetterDayz. Is there much editing on Better Dayz album, if so whats missing.

Better Dayz is a pretty good release, surely the better part of the two (the other being Until The End Of Time).

The beats are mostly on-par with this, however there are always a few negative points; one of which are the guest-appearances. Trick Daddy? T.I.? (Although he drops a hot verse) Mya? Jazze Phae? I could have done without them. Also, the whole two-versions-of-one-song-on-one-album is bit much.

All in all, enjoyable.

I remember someone saying that the version on The Show soundtrack isn't the OG, although it is pretty close to it.

I didn't know, the track There U GO with Mya is far better than the OG (Well the remake of the OG) the chorus with Mya you can chill to.

The track U Can Call - I can't get into that for some reason.

I also agree with you about 2 tracks of each song. I would like Thugz Mansion (the beat with nas) with all three verses

You mean Fair Xchange with Mya; I think that's the only song off of the official albums that I have never ever listened to fully.

U Can Call ain't exactly my favourite either.

BD was a pretty good album. It blows away UTEOT. Tha only songs I don't really like on there are Changed Man, Fuck Em All, Thugz Mansion (No Nas), Military Minds, Fair Xchange (Mya), This Life I Lead (Tha OG Is Tha Absolute Bomb Track). I wouldn't mind having another BD like album, even though what I really want is an OG album.:(

I really think there will be an OG album in the future. I just hope if it does happen, they don't edit anything. Just remaster the OG's and put them out!

I think they should of released 1 album a year with 13 tracks on. But released it as a double album, disc 1 is the og's while disc 2 will be the new fresh remixes.

i agree exactly what the other poster said about better dayz bein a good album but still havin some negative points .. i think there would be maybe an approval by pac fans if most of the albums were even like better dayz ... i think theres some hot material on there ie u can call, my block, thugz mansion, ...dope total remixes this life i lead, street fame, never call u bitch, and also it gives a taste of somewhat ogs but just updated 2005 sounding really with some changes ie fuck em all, there u go, ...also u get ogs or really close to with songs like they dont give a fuck, who do u believe in ,ghetto star....... but there are negative points like never be peace, trick, mya, ...however its a solid album ... i think amaru should have just made ogs updated beat wise ..no verse changes, no editing words .... but thats a whole other subject

show version of my block is missing the melody instrumentation.

half of better dayz was acceptable, but most of it (jazze pha especially) was hip-pop filler that was designed to attract the 15-21 crowd who don't give a rat's ass about lyrical content so long as they can shake their ass to the beat.

uteot was a much better overall product than bd.

i agree with this. uteot has a more jj/pac feel to it.

i just want to add that the mya remix on better dayz is horrible. maybe even the worst official tupac mix ever. eminem's shit kills this remix to me. the supa dave west remix of out on bail is the only track i think is worse than the mya shit.
