What do you like to BBQ? What are your favorite recipes for marinating.

I BBQ a lot and I love it.

Recently some of the things i have BBQ'd other than steak was some fiery chicken which was really spicy with Cinnamon and cocoa powder. It was really good.

Also I BBQ'd a whole trout fish the other day which was marinated in various spices.

Today i had Steak, Italian sausages and baked potatoes wrapped in bacon.

So what do you like to toss on the grill?

When I ate meat and BBQed I used to always marinate my steaks and chops in beer.

Yep, beer. Bottle of beer into a bowl, add basil, add Tabasco or whatever you else want for flavor, put meat into mix and leave in fridge over night or for at least a couple hours. The beer actually begins the cooking process, then just BBQ.

That's a real common thing here in the states, esp to chicken.

I am going to have to try this but with Chicken.,

If there is one thing i don't like it's marinating steak. I am talking about actual steak meat. Not just any beef. I like my steak with salt and pepper. I like to preserve the meat flavour and I also like my steak medium so it's really soft and juicy and almost melts in the mouth.Today i actually put some bacon on top to give it some extra juice.

Rahim i definitely have to try mishkaki. I googled it and it looks really spicy and is probably delicious. Thanks for that.

I bought a BBQ not too long ago. It's hooked up to the natural gas line of the house so i don't have to bother with propane. Makes it easier and it's on my deck so I can always grill whatever i want.

I am looking for more and more recipe's. Not just chicken or beef. Anything you guys can think of and want to share go ahead.

I don't know what to BBQ tomorrow but i am probably gonna try mishkaki . I don't have all the spices for it though.

Leave 2pac out of all of my threads please.

He is dead. Your obsession is making me believe that was a good thing.

My perfect BBQ would include:

Beef burgers: I'm not talking about them frozen shits you buy from a supermarket, I'm talking about fresh pure minced beef burgers you buy directly from a butcher - can't beat them.

Sausages: some good quality ones, probably spicy ones like cumberland.

Spicy marinated chicken breasts: Probably paprika or cajun.

Steak: I would probably go for minute steak, it is a favourite of mine and is perfect for BBQ's

Beef/chicken/lamb skewers: with loads of onion/peppers. The lamb can be marinated, and the chicken plain.

Smoked back bacon.

Lots of flame grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, onion.

And the buffet layout includes things like salad mixture, sauces, jacket potatoes, cheese (not that shit processed cheese), coleslaw, potato salad, etc the list is endless.

It's good to keep it simple. I think the main thing would be the quality of food that you are buying that would make a good bbq.
