We need your prayers, ideas, & financial support as we build the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for Arts (TASCA) to offer all types of artists (entertainers, educators, recreational, theatrical, etc) around the world a place to unite and network with one another. In addition, the Center will honor the work of Tupac and his enormous impact on the world. Visitors will be able to better understand the calling on Tupac's life through the Museum & Art Gallery.
The site is situated on a beautiful wooded 10 acre property complete with a onsite lake.The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts will be located in Stone Mountain (suburban Atlanta), Georgia were most of his family has lived for nearly a decade and where Tupac owned a home shortly before his murder.The Center will be built in three phases.
PHASE 1- Visitor Center
Tupac Museum/Art Gallery, Learning Center, & Screening Room
The first phase of the Center will feature an interactive museum showcasing highlights from 2PAC's public life and never before released personal belongings, an art gallery, community meeting space, & classrooms. A screening room is planned as a part of the museum and will feature film premieres, video history on Tupac, & special taped messages from friends & supporters of Tupac. Phase One of the Center is slated for completion in 2004!
Phase 2- Tupac Theater
The Centerpiece will be a 300-400-seat theater.
The theater will be available for plays, productions, and film premiers among other things.
Phase 3- Artist Village & Peace Garden
Near the lake located on the property an area where artists from various genres (painters, sculptures, writers, etc) can develop pieces for display at the Tupac Museum/Art Gallery. A landscaped peace garden will be designed as a place of reflection and a way to honor victims of violence.
