Didn't he beat up Orlando Anderson, because him, or one of his crips robbed one of the Outlawz a while back?

Orlando stole a DR chain of one of Suge's homies.

He pointed him out to Pac in the lobby of the MGM, then Pac went over and hit him.

Didn't Afeni tell Tupac 'if you can't find something to live for you better find something to die for'?

Sounds like she got her principles mixed to me.

The same Thug Life that is all about building the community?
I'm sure you know as well as I do that there is more than one definition/interpretation to what Tupac has said.

Thug Life could also be - beating up Allen Hughes, beating up the sound man on a Digital Underground set, beating up Orlando Anderson, beating on His (Tupac's) enemies through/in his records. He was a socially agressive person, to say the least.

I guess thats the hypocritical side of Pac. On one hand he is pushing for Unity and the Black Community coming together and strengthening their value. But on the other he was willing to beat another Black Man knowing what kind of life he has, and creating more division within Gangs in LA atleast (through the Death Row (Bloods) connection and Orlando Anderson (Crip).) We all know how bloody it was in LA after Pac died.
True - But I reckon he did it to show he aint scared to beat down anyone, sort of like the untouchable feelin' he had - especially that he was ridin' with Suge back then. And of course he wanted respect, beating down a rival crew member gets you more respect. The 2 reasons he went with Deathow - Freedom and Protection. He was paranoid so he needed a crew that would be as tough as him. Suge had the power to take the brother under his wing, and in return his label becomes more powerful and overtakes Badboy. Plus a shiiiit load of money! Pac was able to go on a rampage and rip up the industry because of this. No other label would of been able to give him that freedom of expression and anger. They wouldnt of backed him up for shit, and he saw this already on the Eastcoast. The Westcoast G's were different though. And the main reason that Afeni dont like his old associates from the coast and the one's that made guest appeareances on his OG's is cuz she thinks no-one ever told this brother to stop for a minute. They loved being around him. They loved having him on their side!. They loved the EXTRA attention they were getting from all over the fuckin' world!!!! But noone ever told this man to stop for a minute. If that was your friend, your homie, your best mate - would you tell them to stop? ... I would!

Not from what i believe, he stole a Deathrow members chain. There was an article all about it cant remember where I saw it though. Suge told Pac that was the dude who stole it, Pac went crazy, Suge followed him -

I dont beleive that was what Tupac was trying to represent through Thug Life. I think that was his wild side that he could never control. Have you read The Code of Thug Life?

I agree. After all Pac had done he died over a chain, if infact that is who killed him. It wasnt worth his life, but theres lessons in that. Control.

Yes, I know what you are saying. I have it printed out somewhere from when it was posted up on here some while back. Pac called himself a Thug all the time on his records, even to reporters in interviews.
I think Pac was very clever where he had his own definition for everything, including a Thug.

Yeah and it was always something positive, Never Ignorant Getting Goals Accomplished etc etc. The media always got it twisted though.

Remember Pac used to say that sometimes he feels like he is at war with himself? I think this is the perfect example. He wanted to be free, he wanted to be a perfect human being. But after all the drama he couldnt leave his name destroyed in the industry. He worked hard for years trying to get himself noticed and resepcted as a rapper, and all of a sudden its taken away from him during the '94 shooting/trial/case/drama. So he had a choice to make. Does he go back and make things right? Or does he accept defeat and move on with his life? Well as a matter of fact he wanted both. He couldnt move on with his life until this was all sorted, so he comes back into the game to put right what punks got twisted. He famously said in an interview:

"I want people to look back at me one day and say 2pac wasnt soo bad, he aint soo bad at all"

He wanted to reform himself, he ran out of time before he got that far though. Pac was fearless as much as he was sensitive. He had a very soft side, but as you know he had a angry side to him too. The man was at war with himself for real!!!!

I believe that to be his Gemini nature, His duality, His personality split like 2 Twins.

'How can I be in the depths of solitude when there are two inside of me?' - explains it there.

Someone commenting on Tupac said in, I think it was the Thug Angel DVD, that - 'nobody could save Tupac from himself.'

Tupac being at war with other people for whatever reason, is (IMO) down to the fact that he was at war with himself the most. He didn't wanna be the 'Bad Guy', but his inner conflict brought it out of him.

IMO - Fighting to stay alive was not a high priority on Tupac's list of agenda's. Him being preoccupied with himself in some way (not that he was selfish).

(wtf is wrong with this thread? damn margins)

Is this thread going anywhere?

It just seems to be going back and forth, chatting the same crap. Does it really need to be bumped daily?

Don't you know whether you're interested or not. Or you don't wanna disclose the fact. So you tease me with the fact you "might" be interested.

I'm merely stating this thread has run it's course, and rather than force a mod to close it, let it die.
