Adobe Audition Question (Weird???)

#1
I got a question that i might not be able to explan but please try and follow me........

Ok so i record vocals into adobe, I play them back evrything sounds good. I click on the vocal track into mixdown view (whatever it is called - where you add effects) and I play it in there it has lots of static and sounds like shit....only in mixdown view but not over the whole song why? (and it's not because the instrumental drownds out the static because in regular view i can mute the instrumental and the vocals sound clear and crisp there too)

I used noise reduction it's cool nothing changes this. I don't get a huge amount of static while recording i got that all figured out and i i could jst say screw it and move on scents the over all track sounds good but it just twist my mind to why this might be happening......

any idea?

Tank you

sounds like your computer fucks up when your mix is being compressed into one file. what computer are you running on? and what kind of static are we talking? could you save down your mixdown file and upload it for us to see?

i never heard of that problem before but i might be misreading you.

i'm running it on a gateway....specs i duno all my gear is external (soundcard, preamp ect...) i recorded in adobe for about to years before i switched to Cubase and i just recently switched back to adobe because i like it's plugins....(can i load adobe plugins into cubase?) and it just started doing this........(just though of this could it be that i am only recording to the left channel because i want to recorde it mono)

I wish i could upload it...but the problem is i can mix it down while im in mix mood where i am working with just the vocal file....the only time i can export it to upload it is in the main window....and the problem is not there......

thanks for your reply....Rizzle

no i won't use pro tools i instead got the cubase package....but happen to like the effects in adobe (the way they work) I run windows and i know they have pro tools for that but it is errored..i read all about it.....i actually went to purchase pro tools and i was in the store for about two hours listen to these sellrs tell me pro tools is all hype.....anyways music is music....i love the finished product better once i mix it down through adobe....it dosn't matter what tools you use as long as it sounds good....peace

Pro Tools for PC errored? Not at all. I mean every program has bugs, as does Cubase and Audition, but there is no way its errored, or all hype for that matter.

Ive run Audition, Sound Forge, Cubase and Logic before moving to Pro Tools and I can tell you Pro Tools is a lot better than the others. Logic would be my second choice.

I dont like Cubase, its too resource happy for what it does.
