i don't know what evidence they had but he was not sentenced i believe for the sexual assualt charge. He would have to face either a sentence for the charge or set free.He was only out on bail while he joined death row.

What? Pac was bailed out by Suge to join Deathrow.

It's my understanding that although Suge bailed 'Pac out of jail in exchange for signing a contract with Death Row, Pac's so-called "rape/sexual abuse" case was still very much alive and he could have easily faced more jail time in the future as a result of that case. However, as we all know, Tupac had several run-in's with authorities and I remember hearing that the incident with the two off duty Atlanta cops (which had been previously thrown out due to lack of evidence) was going to be re-evaulated in light of 'Pac's criminal history. But perhaps the most damaging incident of them all was the fight with Orlando Anderson the night of Tupac's murder in Vegas that was certainly in violation of his parole and would have landed him back in prison for quite some time. It's debatable whether or not 'Pac would have returned to prison or made some effort to leave the country. Who knows what would have happened. I'm sure there were many other incidents pending, but these were definately the ones that seemed most damaging.

O, I did not know that.

as purelypac was saying, 2pac had many issues to deal with when he violated his bail condition by attacking orlando anderson and he would have to face consiquences(sp) for his act.

I think a lot of bad things would've happend to 2Pac if he was still physically here with us. We should all look at his leave in a positive way because if he was still physically here, we might've not even gotten a "Pac's Life" CD with all the problems he might've ran into.

actually he recorded all the material released today before he died and he might of released to them in original forms and albums and might of recorded more like Shine did when he got locked up

We shouldn't look at Pac's death in a positive way. At worst, he would have gotten something like Suge's sentence for violating parole by beating Anderson. He was only 25.

It's much more likely he would have gone to jail for a few more years, would have had a couple of albums released from his scraps, and he'd have been out of jail before he was 35.

His death was certainly not positive, regardless of what the beating of Anderson would have meant.

actually he wasn't on parole, he was out on bail which means he didn't have a sentence for the rape/ sexual assualt charges since he didn't have a trail for it

They still call it a "sexual assault"? Pac said he was jailed for "forcefully touching the buttocks"...

Of course he had a trial for those charges. He was convicted and sentenced for sexual assault. He was in jail for most of 1995.

Suge bailed Pac out in October 1995, so Pac was out on bail pending the appeal of his case. However, since he was already serving part of his sentence, that meant that when Pac was released, Pac was on parole. Beating Anderson was an obvious violation of the terms of his parole and would have sent him back to jail, regardless of his appeal, regardless of bail and regardless of any additional charges that the assault of Anderson would have created.

so you are saying the man was facing 3 - 7 years for grabbing some ass? I don't know how the law goes in NY but that seems rather crazy.I know he was a star but damn why did he go to PC (protective custody)? He would of had us blacks folks to protect him when he was doing time. For a thug PC ain't no good look man. That shit for real rapists, child molesters and snitches.

Well maybe Pac did things like what he did in Vegas because maybe in the back of his mind, he knew Deathrow had a hell of a lawyer in Ken Starr that could beat any charges or any case.

Legal issues
Even as he garnered fame as a rapper and actor, Shakur gained notoriety for his conflicts with the law. On October of 1991 he filed a $10 million lawsuit against the Oakland Police Department, alleging they brutally beat him over a jaywalking incident. The suit was later settled for $42,000.[18][19]

In October 1993, in Atlanta, Shakur shot two off-duty police officers (one in the leg, one in the buttocks) who were harassing a black motorist. Charges against Shakur were dismissed when it was discovered that both officers were intoxicated and were in possession of stolen weapons from an evidence locker during the incident.[20]

In December 1993, Shakur was charged with sexually abusing a woman in his hotel room. According to the complaint, Shakur sodomized the woman and then encouraged his friends to sexually abuse her. Shakur vehemently denied the charges. He had prior relations days earlier with the woman who was pressing the charges against him. She performed oral sex on him on a club dance floor and the two later had sex in his hotel room. The allegations were made after she revisited his hotel room for the second time where she engaged in sexual activity with his friends and claimed Tupac's entourage had gang-raped her, saying to him while leaving, "How could you do this to me?" Tupac states he had fallen asleep shortly after she arrived and later awoke to her accusations and legal threats. He later said he felt guilty for leaving her alone, and did not want anyone else to go to jail, but at the same time did not want to go to jail for a crime he didn't commit. Shakur was convicted of "sexual abuse (forcibly touching the buttocks)". In sentencing Shakur to one-and-a-half years in prison, the judge described the crime as "an act of brutal violence against a helpless woman."[21]

In 1994, he was convicted of attacking a former employer while on a music video set. He was sentenced to 15 days in jail with additional days on a highway work crew, community service, and a $2000 fine. In 1995, a wrongful death lawsuit was brought against Shakur in the 1992 shooting of six-year-old Qa'id Walker-Teal of Marin City, California. The child had been the victim of a stray bullet in a shootout between Tupac's entourage and a rival group, though the bullet was not from Tupac's gun. Criminal charges were not sought, and Shakur settled with the family for an amount estimated between $300,000 and $500,000.[22][23] After serving part of his sentence on the sexual abuse conviction, he was released on bail pending his appeal. On April 5, 1996, a judge sentenced him to serve 120 days in jail for violating terms of probation
