^^he did get a bad injury or a couple of them but the main problem is how he has been conducting himself off the pitch, he was drinking heavily and put on a shit load of weight. im not sure what way he is now though. havent heard anything about him in ages. when was the last time he even played for Man City?

i think he played in one of the last games of the season, or made the bench for one of those. he did pick up a niggling injury and his career went downhill since then.

downing is officially a liverpool player - undisclosed fee.

I didn't know that until now. I also just looked around and wow yeah he's completely changed.

^lol. I can't see Spurs letting him go though. There's not many good attacking midfielders around to replace Modric.

The transfer window so far has been boring.

i wouldnt mind scott parker on loan for the season. i'd prefer if carlos cuellar would stay and if we got thomas hitzlsperger on a free transfer. looks like we'll be signing shay given in the next few days.

aiden mcgeady? he's often been linked to villa in the past few days.

what are your verdicts on scott parker and luka modric. will parker re-join chelsea or go to spurs? spurs dont want to spend £7m on him and chelsea need cover for essien (if they dont get nasri or parker).

Chelsea don't need Parker, Villa don't need Parker.

To be honest... Spurs don't really need Parker.

Man United could use a Parker.

unlikely i think. Villa would have to pay way over the odds to get him out of Russia.

^^thats bullshit.has to be. just lazy journalism i think. there is no way we want him now. we probably did in the past though as a replacement for Mascherano/

every transfer window we get linked with that awful player. dont know why.

yea Zenit offered McGeady huge wages to join them i think.

Man City: Corinthians agrees deal for Tevez

Posted 2h 28m ago |

LONDON (AP) — Carlos Tevez appears set to return to Brazilian club Corinthians after five years in England, with Manchester City saying a deal has been reached to sell the striker.

Despite being under contract to City for another three years, the Argentina striker said earlier this month that he wanted to leave the Premier League club after two seasons to be closer to his family.
City had been reluctant to sell Tevez and had reportedly been holding out for a 50-million pound ($81 million) bid from Corinthians, but now a breakthrough has been reached.
"We have an agreement with Corinthians," City manager Roberto Mancini told Britain's Sky Sports TV on the Vancouver stop of City's North America tour. "But Carlos now is still a City player."
Asked whether Tevez would now be discussing personal terms with Corinthians, Mancini responded: "I don't know this. I repeat, at the moment, Carlos is still a City player."

The 27-year-old Tevez spent two years with Corinthians, becoming the first non-Brazilian to win the league's player of the season award for 29 years, before moving to London in 2006.
After spending the season at West Ham, he joined Manchester United and won the Premier League twice before defecting to crosstown rival City.

As the Premier League's joint-top scorer last season, Tevez helped City finish third and qualify for the Champions League for the first time. He also captained the side in the FA Cup final when City won its first major title since 1976.

Apparently a lot of Brazilians squad have got a huge financial boost from TV Money, so they could hold on to their stars and actually bring some back. Interesting to see if that happens.
