^^well your manager seemed to want him so id go by his opinion over some supporters tbh.

I never saw what the fuss is about Jones either. Looks like a bit of a clogger to me. but then these managers rate him highly so they obviously see something.

I also thought Frank Lampard was an extremely average player at the age of 22 for West Ham.

look, neither of these players are worth that much money. the same way Andy Carroll isnt worth near 35 million or Ashely Young isnt worth 10 million let alone the 20+ million the media are suggesting. Its just the way it is with young english players when they are sold between english clubs and also because of the new rules that were introduced.

Yeah but Fergie also let our biggest rivals go in for him and we didn't bother trying to hijack the deal unlike the Jones deal. Phil Jones is a clogger if he plays centre midfield, he doesn't have the guile to play there, I prefer him at centre back - he's also a down to earth sort of person apparently. When I saw him defend for Blackburn he was immense, he physically overpowers strikers and is always in the right place. I do think he is better than Chris Smalling who hasn't done anything wrong so far. Maybe this means Johnny Evans can fuck off somewhere.

Yeah Henderson might become something fantastic but I was more on about the price that Liverpool will pay for him, you will actually get him £5m cheaper than we were quoted in January :| I don't see a lot in him to invest that much money, a lot of the Sunderland fans are saying its a good deal also.. but that maybe more down to the fact they need a striker and even N'Gog will do.

Yeah these players are not worth the money, apparently N'Zogbia (going to Liverpool?) will only cost around £10m - I say only when you contrast it with the money people want for Ashley Young, Henderson, Jones etc

I like Phil Jones and Ashley Young. He does run the Villa team and is very difficult to play against. I think 16 Million would also be reasonable as Villa paid 9.5 Mil for him from Watford.

Henderson I am undecided on. But I think Liverpool have the right idea with their transfer acquisitions and I see a bright future for them.

On another Man United note -

Skysports.com understands that Sunderland have launched a triple bid for Manchester United's Wes Brown, John O'Shea and Darron Gibson.

Ashley Young will be really good at united. I think in fact, he'd help rooney to score more with bettery delivery into the box (providing he doesnt have off-days like he occasionally does). i'm resigned to him leaving now - looks like it'll be to united.

villa make contact with benitez. he has a good record but i dont like him. wellfare of the club is most important though.

i'm quite a fan of sebastian giovinco. i wonder what will happen with him. was he sent to parma for experience or simply because he wasn't getting a chance in the juve squad? was he off form, back from injury? don;t get a chance to follow serie a anymore.

i also wonder if bojan will find a loan move somewhere.

I'm not sure what Juve are doing, they don't seem to want players with flair any more.

Bojan has regressed over the years, a loan move will be good for his confidence.

you would be lucky to get a manager of that calibre but whatever.

I agree with Sandeep. I think you and Rafa are the only 2 people in the world who rate him highly.

Bohan is leaving Barca, apparently. He's not happy at being offered as a makeweight in the Sanchez deal.

i love how sky sports has brainwashed your average football fan into believing he is a bad manager. Explain to me how a manager who wins a champions league, UEFA Cup , 2 La Ligas and an FA Cup is considered a bad manager? he got Liverpool to within a whisker of winning the league. THat was some achivement wasnt it? considering he was seriously handicapped by the 2 cowboys. The media always harped on and on at how Liverpool were a 2 man team yet he managed to get this 2 man team that close. and the 2 men in question were injured for a lot of it. I dont believe that 2 man team bollox but you cant have it both ways. Give credit where credit is due but the cunts on sky sports would never do that ofc. You'd swear that he was a murderer with some of the treatment he got. It always baffled me because by all accounts he was a really nice man away from football. But we all know the reason is because of how he wasnt afraid to stand up to Ferguson and all his buddies who have a serious influence in the media.

the things that really makes me laugh is how the likes of Allardyce and Redknapp are considered top managers by the english media and some football fans and Benitez is considered shite. Redknapp has one cup to show for about 30 years of management. Allardyce is a complete and utter joke. I bet there are alot of Villa fans who would want someone like Hughes over Benitez. laughable really.

Sunderland want Gibson/O'Shea/Brown.

Brown is past it and not Premiership level any more, Gibson will do well for a lesser side, O'shea is on the way down, he's versatile but he's lost a couple yards of pace and is more error prone.

Klose joins Lazio.

I think they'd be 3 good signings for Sunderland.

I'm not a Gibson fan but to his credit he played better in the last month of the season. He just likes to shoot every time he seems the goal. O'Shea will do well for Sunderland, Brown should be back up only.

Liverpool sign Henderson for £19.5m thats without N'Gog also.

Juventus are signing Lichtesteiner (sp). I wonder how much they will waste this summer and fail to finish in the top 4 again.

Ashley Young looks set to join Man Utd - not overly happy with that signing.
