The NBA has some of biggest divas in sports. It's starting to trickle down in the to NFL too. I'm all for players' rights and fair treatment by ownership but the hierarchy is just so fucked the past decade. I don't remember the NBA having players demand trades, not ask, and throw a fit over it. The NBA already has such a high turnover rate because of busts and injuries and smaller rosters but they're just tightening that room even more.
Somehow, people embrace the drama that goes on in the NBA. Fans support players and coaches and it seems like the players are still happier in the NBA compared to the NFL. No anthem protests or dropping viewership or threats to the game through injuries. PEDs. I guess they like to keep the drama within the team/stadium. Not a whole lot of them are going around beating their wives either, like NFL, and now, the MLB.
So NBA players have a bit more weight to throw around compared to other leagues but these outbursts and beefs and demands make it seem like owners and coaches are at the mercy of the players. LBJ and the jokes about him coaching, not Lue. Jimmy and his trade demands and outburst. Kawhi and DRose both having distrust in their teams and their doctors in regards to their injuries. lol and fucking Thibs getting tossed around like a rag doll by teams and his players, both.
When it comes to players moving, you gotta respect KD and LBJ and a few others for letting their contracts expire before moving and not raising a stink about leaving and slamming the door on the way out.
