lol Spurs basically told Kawhi to "hold my dick" and sent him to Toronto knowing he had aspirations to go to LA.

Any chance Toronto sends him to LA in another trade if Kawhi acts like a bitch about going to Toronto?

I don't follow the NBA real close during the season but people are talking about "loyalty" in regards to DeRozan and how he got fucked by the Raptors. How so? Did Toronto say they weren't going to trade him or something? People should have learned that the NBA is the nastiest league out of all the major sports. Butler, IT, and Kyrie being traded in just the past year should be signs enough.

And why did Parker leave SA? Looks like smoke from the SA camp where Pops wife died, Duncan retired, Kawhi had his bitch-fit this season, Manu is still here or no? Like a decade-long squad is falling apart in less than two years and only one of them actually retired.

Toronto told DeMar they weren't going to trade him last week.

Players always get a bad wrap when it comes to "loyalty". I'm ok with Kawhi controlling his own fate.

the gm told derozan they're not gonna trade him and derozan's been the only star that wanted to stay in toronto. vince carter, mcgrady, and bosh all bounced.

parker left san antonio because he wanted a bigger role even though he's a shell of himself. pop wanted him to be mentor to murray but parker said he's not ready to be a coach and hornets gave him more money too.

spurs won 47 games without their best player and were one of the top defensive teams.

We had a hunch about LeBron coming to the Lakers but did we anticipate the Lakers looking like this within a month of his arrival? Beasley, Rondo, Ball, LBJ? And no chance for Kawhi, either? Who saw that happening?

This season might be fun if you just watch the Western Conference.

i think the lakers are a 50 win team but theyre gonna have chemistry issues and the potential of bumping heads with one another is gonna interesting.

man, kawhi situation is disappointing. he might regret leaving SA and/or the way he handled the situation. fuck his uncle though

I've read different pieces on it but it seems like he felt betrayed by the Spurs' doctors and their eagerness to bring him back. He was injured before, if I'm not mistaken, and was rushed back and didn't fully heal, so he was always skeptical. It reminds me of the DRose situation where he was listening to family/outsiders about his recovery and kept the Bulls and his team in limbo during that time.

But I guess you have to look out for yourself in the NBA, where player turnover is so high and teams can let you go at the drop of a hat.

even if true i don't know why he would think the spurs don't care about his well being and all that. he was their franchise player. spurs leaked that kawhi's camp had control of the rehab process since august of last year and on top of that kawhi's camp tried to hide him from the spurs while he was rehabbing in ny. i've never seen shit like this.

i don't know if you play sports and have suffered a serious injury but when i tore my ankle few years ago while balling, after it healed up, every time i balled it would hurt. it was like that for almost 2 months. i think some pain is normal after a severe injury. i think kawhi and his camp just used this as an excuse to get out of SA. i remember there were rumors of him wanting to go to LA back in september.

At the time – before he even got his max deal in 2015 free agency – Leonard said:

“I was never upset about (the extension),” Leonard said. “I mean they explained to me what their deal is and why they didn’t do it yet. That’ll play out. I’m just here to play basketball and have fun and try to win another championship. If I think about that, then I’m not going to be the same player that I am and will be just out of it. …

“I don’t think I’m going anywhere,” Leonard said. “I mean they love me here. I like the organization, and if it was up to me, I want to finish out with one team like a lot of great players have done, to stay with one organization their whole career and just be loyal to that. You never know. We’ll see what happens next summer, but I’m pretty sure I’ll be in a Spurs jersey for my whole life.”

This has been a fun off season for the NBA. I hope the actual season lives up to the hype.
