lmao @ Fergie ethering Roy Keane. Roy Keane criticised the young players at the club and Fergie replied with

"Well, he's had opportunities to prove himself as a manager too"

Keane is right in what he said though, which was..

"People have talked about the young players - you've had Jones, Chris Smalling, Ashley Young coming in, everybody building them up but they've got a lot to do, it's a reality check for some," Keane said.

"I'd be getting hold of some of those lads, saying 'you'd better buck up your ideas'.

"I think their best player tonight was Ryan Giggs, that sums it up - he 37 or 38, you can't be depending on him.

"United got what they deserved tonight."

I think the bigger story should be the blatant fix that Lyon went through and Ajax didn't. Some of the shit is shambolic. How you get a 9 goal turn around?
Dinamo Zagreb is a piece of shit club and Leko picked up a red as well (known moron). I expected Dinamo to get trashed, cause their coach is a "Yes-man" and is slightly brain damaged. As far as I'm personally concerned, I wanted to see Lyon score double digits.

Edit: re-edited shit, cause yeah buddayyy

UEFA aren't investigating it, but the French Authorities are.

Gambling probe: French authorities to investigate Lyon’s 7-1 win

Dinamo Zagreb defender Domagoj Vida appears to wink and give Bafetimbi Gomis the 'thumbs up' after one of the Lyon striker's four goals last night

FRENCH GAMBLING OFFICIALS have opened an investigation into Lyon’s sensational 7-1 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League last night.
The Ligue Un side upset the odds when they scored six times in the second half to finish on eight points – pipping Ajax to second place in Group D and making an unlikely progression to the knockout stages.
Suspicion of match-fixing was rife after television footage picked up on Dinamo defender Domagoj Vida appearing to wink and gesture a ‘thumbs up’ to Bafetimbi Gomis after one of the striker’s four goals on the night.
The club also sacked manager Krunoslav Jurcic just hours after the game despite the fact that they currently top of their domestic league.
ARJEL, a French online gambling watchdog, have now decided to look into the game andare quoted as saying they are “currently carrying out checks”.
However, Dinamo have been quick to deny any wrongdoing on their part. An official statement from the Croatian club read:

“It’s scandalous and malicious to proclaim the Champions League match between Dinamo and Lyon as suspicious which is also underrating of Dinamo’s opponent Lyon just because they got the needed win to qualify to the next round of the Champions League.
“GNK Dinamo strongly objects to all domestic and foreign media speculation about any dishonourable actions regarding the game result. A better team with an extra player won the game in Maksimir and managed to qualify for the next stage of the UEFA Champions league.”
Meanwhile, Lyon have backed the decision to investigate the match.
“Lyon have become aware of the checks being carried out this morning by ARJEL, which fit with the procedures of the agency responsible for the regulation of online gaming,” a statement released today said.
“The club agree totally that action should be taken when a result is considered atypical.”
Lyon sporting director, Bernard Lacombe also waded in on the incident, calling it “total rubbish”
“Did they open an investigation at half-time when it was 1-1? I don’t give a damn what the Ajax manager says. Apparently we are also responsible for the refereeing of the match in Amsterdam …” he added.

Still, while the 2 disallowed goals for Ajax is weird, I still don't think there's anything there. This Dinamo team isn't the one from 2008 (which was great tbh). It's not like they weren't trashed before, they had nothing to play for. A man down, defeatist mentality, not to mention, there's a lot of crap going on behind closed doors. Sammir and Badelj want to leave the club, but are forced to stay for the time being. The club is practically run single-handedly by a tyrant.

If they were playing in their natural positions and match fit then Keane might have a point. But they weren't so he doesn't. I hate seeing a talented Centre Half like Phil Jones playing in midfield. Should have gone to Liverpool.

To be fair on the French, Uefa decided not to investigate but the French decided to do their own investigation. Which will come up as all clear.

I agree but its cause Fergie decided not to sign midfielders. Phil Jones at Centre back is awesome but he also can be a little reckless running through the centre like a mad man, he has enough talent to be a full back also. Still pleased be got him :D Much better than Ashley Young has been; he has drifted away after his good start.

I agree. 2 new midfielders were needed. One to break up the play, one to dictate it. I also agree about Phil Jones, but he's very young and will stop the crazy runs forward.

Just read a report that Fergie wants to win the Europa League. I guess that answers my previous thoughts about the attitude towards it.

The decisions made in the liverpool v Fulham game on monday night were an absolute disgrace.Investigate this league now!
It wasn't just the Liverpool game, it happened in the Chelsea v Newcastle game, the Tottenham v Bolton game. The referees for the past few weeks have made big errors; the Ferdinand penalty decision. Ridiculous.
