N'Zogbia has been awful since he came. I only remember him having about 3 or 4 good games.
Bent is lazy. Carew was also a good player but his laziness and lack of involvement is what let him down most. This is where Bent is going wrong and where Benteke is succeeding.
Gabby was on the brink of breaking into the England squad - he won't have a chance now. He's been very average in the past two to three years. He can score goals but I really don't know what is wrong with him.

Ashley Westwood has been good since he arrived but he played very badly in the past two matches. Very bad passing.
Chris Herd is looking good, and Barry Bannan seems okay. Delph needs to be more consistent.

Brett Holman looks like he could be a key player. It's about the only good thing that the previous manager did for our club. Not bad for a free transfer. Hopefully he signs Alan Hutton on a permanent deal for Nottingham Forest.

I did say Aston Villa are a poor side..

Lambert again proving his amazing tactical awareness of..not having much apart from 'it will get gooder, just work hard' :D

I like Lambert. I think he is the right manager for Villa. I think his options are limited by the poor squad at his disposal. The players he has brought in have all been impressive this season. Those he inherited such as Ireland, Nzogbia and Bent, not so.

I think his signings have been pretty average, he's spunked a lot of it on unproven youngsters from lower leagues and thrown them in at the deep end. Benteke is good but incosistent, Bennett isnt ready for this level yet, Vlaar is decent, that Moroccan doesn't even play, the young lower league players look defeated, and thats awful management, whether from him or Randy Lerner, you can't blend a team full of kids with no experience into the Premiership. I think that is more Randy's fault that their market is just based on potential.

Lambert's fault likes with his tactics, he plays with a 3-5-2 despite having about one good centre back at the club and it gets exposed time and time again but refuses to change it. I agree that some of the senior players have been shit, but not Bent, Bent is a proven goalscorer and Lambert just dropped him - it might be due to a clause that means they have to pay Sunderland £2m if he plays x amount of games..

Bennet is good going forward, but he's poor when it comes to defending. N'Zogbia had a good game against WBA and he had a few decent chances against Bradford last night. I don't know why Weimann didn't start, although Agbonlahor did look okay at times.

I'm sure Karim El Ahmadi is injured.

Millwall on Friday and Newcastle next up in the Premier League.

Lambert needs time. Making permanent signings isn't the answer this January in case we go down and have to sell them on the cheap and pay out money because of clauses. I reckon we need to make at least 2 loan signings of good, experiences quality. 1 midfielder and 1 defender would be good.

Bent has been shit this year with what little chances he has been given. It is a shame that he doesn't play him alongside Benteke. I like Gabby's work rate but he doesn't bring enough to the team. Hate Nzogbia, and I was a fan when he was at Newcastle. He never knows when to pass or shoot and tries to go past too many players. I agree he needs more experience in the team and I thought he started the season off with a 4-4-2 or a 4-5-1. I still think he is the right manager for Villa, I am a big fan of his. I hated Mcleish. Given time and some investment I think he'll take Villa back into the top 8. I think he will do it with a more efficient manner than O'Neil in terms of spend on wages and fees.

I wish I knew more of the regional stereotypes in England, things would be much funnier. There are probably a good chunk of jokes I miss on shows like the Inbetweeners and such, damn

A couple of those goals could have been prevented.

Clark was boyed off by Anichebe for the first. And Fellaini bullied his way through the defence for his first goal. They needed to be a bit stronger and give it a bit more effort as well. Too static.
