I volunteer at a couple of different organizations. I have two "little sisters", tutor inner city youth after school twice a week, teach ESL classes every other Saturday morning, i'm a "stand-by" volunteer at several different no kill pet shelters, I also foster animals looking for their forever home, and help people study and prepare for their citizenship tests. That's all I think. Used to help take care of my gram but....

I just believe strongly in giving back to the community.

we do realize that doing that volunteer, hosting, teaching shit is great.... but really by making your self a better person can help the world too.. and that's not necessarily by giving/donating/ etc... just the way you interact with each other and changing the way you do react if it's something that's not bad for others, but for yourself too..

i'd give examples, but i'd be quoting stuff i learned in sunday school and im gonna spell out 15-letter words... and all.. so no...

Right now, nothing really.

Change starts with yourself so I try to be an all around good person, which I think I succeed in. From simple stuff to not being an impatient asshole when ordering food to trying to be perceptive enough to make sure everyone I'm with is happy. I do allow myself small controlled outbursts online to keep from going insane.

I'm a veggie but that doesn't really make a difference. I go through some lengths to help animals (ie: spending my nights catching mice instead of letting my parents poison them... especially after I saw what it does) but again nothing big. Once I'm ready for college round two I'll be taking whatever courses are required to volunteer/work for an organization that helps animals. I have plans to make a difference but I'm not there yet.

I speculate in junk bonds, which has led to the junk mortgage meltdown we've been having in the US and a recession. As a result, Americans get the comeuppance they've been deserving for a while now, with people having to curtail spending on stuff they don't need and begin to cut back on the amount of oil they use, which will help slow the global greenhouse disaster. The US will no longer be able to throw money around fighting wars in places they shouldn't be, making the world a better place all around. So my actions will save millions of lives around the world in the coming years, make Americans develop better spending values and realize what's really important in life, and force us to develop alternative sources of fuel, thus saving the environment.

So I'm feeling mighty proud about now.

I beg to differ, my friend!

You made the right choice.
Aye of course but I meant that one vegetarian doesn't make a difference in the end. It's only the collective that makes the difference. Refusing to contribute to the problem is good but it's still passive. That's why I want to get the proper education so I can make a real difference. Unless I get diagnosed with an uncureable disease, then I'll start taking motherfuckers out. Ronald McDonald will be the first to go. Damn IT-looking creep luring children to come inside

Oh and please don't post videos like that for me, I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight had I not changed my mind and turned it off after 1 second :) I know enough about what goes on behind the scenes.
