This is weird.

It's surreal to be back here. It's like walking through an old school. Or is it like a TV reboot, with some of us unwilling to return, some of us dead and gone, all of us looking older?

I was just going through some new posts and saw you guys shooting the shit like always, like no time had passed, and, I mean, call me whatever mean name you'd like, but a tear did roll down my cheek. I've not always had the easiest time belonging anywhere, or feeling like I did. But I was comfortable here.

I signed up on 9/7/01. I was 14. I'm 31 now. Almost nothing in my life is the same, of course. I became a father, went through a divorce, lost my father to cancer. It warms my heart to see that some things don't have to change.

I was 19 when I signed up. My brother was battling leukemia and it was without a doubt the most depressed I’ve ever been in my entire life and this forum was a distraction and definitely helped me through that time.

I owe a piece of myself to this forum.

Also, some people have reached out to me to apologize about things that happened in the past...that’s not necessary- I don’t hold grudges. But I also probably won’t respond either because I don’t like conversations through text. Aaron is one of my bestest buddies and I barely respond to him lol, so don’t take it personal. I hate social media and I’m antisocial. I’m wishing you all well from a distance.

Yeah, I can vouch for that ^

I was 13, 31 now. Tupacboard/Streethop as corny as it sounds was more for a forum for me back then. I used this place as an escape. I wasn't going through the best of times and this place felt like a comfort. I enjoyed all the debates even if I never took a serious part (mainly as I never wanted this place to be 'serious' for me). I loved the shit talking, the random exposes.

Great times in the internet world.

Signed up when I was 16. Boy have I changed since then. Thank god for that. It’s cool to see everyone’s still there, doing their thing, evolving.

I’m happy I stuck to a decent username and didn’t pick something that wouldn’t stand the test of time lol

I miss the games tho. The games were fun. I was good at the snake game. #bringthemback

I was literally thinking this morning of retiring Rukas and just starting a new fresh account.

I joined in 2006 so I would have been 16 or so. I'd been lurking for like a year before I signed up though. I think I came across this site looking for details on Kurupts Against the Grain album. I think one of my first posts was a diss thread where everyone was writing dishes about people and I went after Rahim pretty hard for some reason.

It's Rahim, reason enough.
