We are brethren!

Go to Chemist Warehouse (seriously) and pick up that True Mass thing they have, its like 1200 calories a serving, plus vitamins and protein. Designed to get you BIG. Official size gainer of the UFC if that matters LOL. Its like a hundred bucks but you'll stack on 5kgs a week, short of steroids nothing else will give you more gains.

I should do some weight training but i'm so lazy. I have an elliptical machine at home so I end up doing tons of cardio and nothing else. I've mastered going pretty fast on the elliptical while also playing videogames :)

I really want to get back into running. There is an absolutely amazing feeling that comes with running (once you are past the it burns, i'm out of shape, my body hates me phase). I'll probably start back up again this coming fall. Cooler days and less bugs are the perfect time for a running hobby. :)

And yes.. you guys are extremely tall. I'm a mere 5'1" (on a good day.)

that sounds like the stuff i need, but too expensive. i weigh next to nothing, and have always been a skinny bastard (i dont think my weight has changed in about 10 years, im 26 next month!)

are these shakes the best way to properly bulk up? 'cos not even a bad diet helps me put on weight. i walk my dog a few miles a day and do dumbell exercises in the evening but apart from being slightly toned and slightly fitter, my weight doesnt change. i want to be BIG!

I'm 6". 147lbs. Trying to get down to 140, my ideal weight.

I do light weightlifting, jogging and a LOT of dancing.

Whenever we have a tour coming up, I step up the routine probably about 2x as much for the 4-6 weeks before the tour starts.

I'm 22 years old, 173cm/5'8 and about 68kg/~150lbs. I guess my BMI is not far from perfect.
Rather low body fat though I'd like to lose some more from my belly so muscles would be visible and I wouldn't have any fat to be ashamed of. I don't go to the gym, I used to do soccer as an amateur when I was younger, then martial arts for a few years and now I exercise by myself to keep in form. I like sports though I do them much less often than I did back in the days. I still have a fair amount of exercise whenever I can.

I used to eat a lot of junk food, now I don't eat them as often because I'm on my summer holidays and have more time to eat at home. I have only 2 bigger meals/day. I hate eating breakfasts so usually I just push myself to drink a yogurt since it's better than nothing.
When my summer holidays end I'll have very little time and most probably I'll eat more shit food again. I drink a lot of soda. I think I'm addicted to cola but I really love it. I also smoke a bit - 2-3 cigarettes a day on average but there are weeks when I don't smoke at all and then weeks when I smoke a bit more. I had a year pause at some point.
I don't plan to quit smoking. I smoke less with every year anyway and I don't think that this amount is harming me much. I like to smoke to a beer or when I'm studying, it feels good. I was missing it when I had my "year without smoking". On the other hand people excessively smoking annoy me. I even dislike the smell of tobacco smoke.
I drink very little of alcohol and very rarely.
Well, I guess I'm fit and healthy but I have bad living habits. I never really thought about changing them more than my consciousness makes me - and it seemed to work for me.
I guess I have some rules I never break and don't even feel a need to - like never eat junk food 2 days in a row or don't drink more than 1l of coke/day. I rarely focus on it but whenever I think about it that's how I am. Like, if I eat dinner at McDonalds I won't really want to eat there in a few next days.

I plan to exercise even more but the summer is ending and winter always sucks if it comes to sports. I also plan to reduce sugar and fat foods and eat more fruits and vegetables because I barely had any since I always hated them, except of fruit juices. Yeah, I guess I never cared about my diet because I never had a need to since I was fit and healthy. I was actually a bit too skinny back in the days, despite eating a lot of junk food. I eat whatever I feel like eating and it always seemed to work for me.

I have gone 3 full days without a drop of alcohol (record for the last 3 months) and I got to say I'm feeling grrrrrrreat. When you go out every night and drink, you forget how it feels to wake up in the morning not having been drunk the night before. I've been waking up at either 6:30 or 9am to watch the basketball championships and I haven't had an issue with either waking up or staying awake. During the summer, I couldn't manage to get up before 1pm.

I will go first.

I am 6'4" and 210lbs. Im trying to bulk up and also lose a little midsection flab for that defined six pack. Cutting and bulking at the same time is hard if not impossible so I am bulking up first and will cut over summer.

Im doing gym three times a week and have also just bought some resistance bands to build some core muscle strength and help in definition. On top of that I do Martial Arts twice a week.

Im taking ON Gold Standard 100% Whey Protein (Double Choc flavor, it is awesome) and will do a course of ON Serious Mass soon.

Goals? To add size to arms, legs, shoulders, and chest. My upper back is nicely defined naturally so I dont focus on it too much and any extra gains come from compound exercises I do. I should focus more on lower back but Ive slacked on that. I dont really have a set goal of I should gain this much in this period of time because I dont know what is possible for my body seeing as I was vegetarian for three years so dont reaaaallly know what to expect now that I am eating a balanced diet.

However overall I am looking to reach 250-260lbs.
If you're going to try to get stronger (i.e. lift more weight) I'd suggest a pre and post workout supplement also. The three popular pre-workout supplements on the market now are Jack3d, Dark Rage, and Super Pump. I've tried all three and would recommend Dark Rage. It's a little pricey...about $40 (but can get up to $60), for 20 servings, but with stuff this powerful you only need half a scoop, so it turns into 40 servings. It gives you the focus and energy to throw on an extra 10 pounds, or pump out an extra 2 reps. Doesn't sound like much, but it adds up very quickly, trust me.

For a post workout, I'd recommend the product that is meant to be taken with Dark Rage, called Dark Matter. The Blue Raspberry flavor is actually delicious. You're supposed to take it immediately after your work out to support muscle rebuilding. The only bad thing about this product is you have to wait half an hour before you can eat or drink anything that's not water (that means 30 minutes before a protein shake). However, it should hold you over for half an hour.

Now that I'm done sounding like a GNC salesman, I'll talk a little bit more about working out. If you want to cut fat, you have to do cardio, period. Running will do it the quickest, but is probably the least enjoyable cardio exercise. On a normal cardio day, I aim to cut 600 calories...running about 4 miles on a treadmill. For muscle building (size gaining) you should find a set of exercises that work for you and do 3-4 sets of 6-8 (some will say 8-10) reps. That means on your 8th rep, you should be struggling, turning red, STRIVING to get that last one in. The real key to gaining size though, is calories (unfortunately for me). If you want to gain muscle fast, you have to eat a lot of protein and about 3,500 calories a day (normally I can't pack down more than about 2,750).

Also, being in the best shape of my life is probably the best feeling in the world. Be warned though, after almost 8 months of working out at least 5-6 times a week (some weeks more), I think I've literally become phyically addicted to working out. I feel anxious if I haven't worked out yet for the day and, on an average day, I'm happiest while I'm at the gym. Negative side effects, but at least my addiction is (relatively) healthy.

I didn't have a mg of nicotine in me from late-December of 2009 until about mid-May this year. No dip, no cigs, cigars, etc. Small strides. Because I'm fat.

Exactly what I was thinking.
I think your opinion on "what's good for you" is moot at this juncture.

Da_Funk, which supplements are you talking about?

I just take one of these, daily, and it's incredibly good for you. Provides everything the human body needs.

im 5 ft 8 tall and weigh about 80kg. im pretty lean now. i did weigh about 85 kg at the start of summer

i play football and hurling (irish sport). i did HIIT for about 2 months over the summer and now i just jog for 4 or 5 miles two or three nights a week.

i dont smoke.

id love to get to 13 stone 85kg of lean muscle asap. id be happy with that.

im fairly bulked up now for my height but i dont think being too bulked up is great for someone who is short. just my opinion. unless your a body builder of course.

All these supplements you guys take can't be good for you.

the way i look at it. there has been an increase in the cases of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome. and i was reading in the paper here the other day that there have been calls for more research into possible links between some of these supplements and SADS.

i do take supplements sometimes. mainly whey protein. last year i took a mass gainer with some creatine in it.

i found this site earlier Optimum Nutrition Serious Mass at suppshop.co.uk - Discount Supplements selling 'serious mass' which rukas mentioned earlier. 1250 calories per 334g serving, which is a lot!
