iTunes sucks so much. Can anyone recommend a better MP3 player and sorter for the Mac?
I hate how iTunes copies all of the files to it's own folder, and I HATE how if you import an mp3 playlist from an album you downloaded or whole album the songs are NEVER in the proper order.

regarding the order of the song problem, have you right clicked on the song and edited the number of the tracks to reorder them? this worked for me on windows using windows media player and for itunes for my ipod.
iTunes and I had a rough start, I had similar issues as you do. But I have found that editing the file name and info in the folder on your computer fixes the order of songs

Im not editing the track info for each track, fuck that. It should pull the track info from the m3u playlist, that is what it is there for!
I wish WinAmp was out for Mac.
Right now I am just using VLC, which I use for my movies and TV shows too, so its not that much of a problem. I didnt know I could use VLC when I made this thread....

Seriously, why did people stop using WinAmp? To me, WinAmp has always been a symbol for MP3, it's what everyone was using back in the day when MP3s were new. Stay true to the old school!!
