Writing with weaker hand

Before I opened up the link I imagined you typing on your keyboard using only your left hand and I was wondering "why the heck would he do that". Then I realized that pens and pencils still exist.
I'm pretty sure that not counting signing some papers the last time I used a pen to write something was in high school, which was 5 years ago. My handwriting must be a disaster now.

I kind of feel a challenge though. Today I'll try using my smartphone with my left hand. I realized I've never done that.

A good easy way for this is brushing your teeth, it can get sloppy but who cares. Also, when you shower using your left hand only. Using your phone is a good one. I was obsessed with this when I was younger because I wanted to be able to shoot a basketball with my left hand

Use the mouse with your left hand, use scissors with your left hand, play guitar with your left hand, mastur-wash the dishes with the sponge in your left hand, other ideas are to open/close the doors/curtains/blinds, drive a manual car with the steering on the right hand side, play snooker left handed, and any racquet sports like badminton, tennis, table tennis, squash etc.

It takes a lot of work to feel natural using your opposite hand but as far as your brain goes of course. Any sort of cognitive training is going to work.

By doing simple tasks using your non-dominant hand, I believe studies show that you make more connections between your left and right hemispheres of your brain. It reenforces already-made connections and can help build new ones. Some compare it to exercising and its benefits on creating neuronal connections.

While I find it hard for someone to really find it practical to practice writing with their left hand, you can do simple tasks with it and try it out. Using your mouse, brushing your teeth, etc. Try playing chess or picking up a couple of things off the floor with your left hand, like coins or something.

When I was 11 I really fucked up my left ankle bad (I'm a lefty) and I practiced kicking a soccer ball with my right foot. Now I can kick with both feet. I can use a mouse and throw with both hands but I cannot write worth a fuck wirth my right hand..

fuck yeah.

I worked really hard as a kid to be able to use both feet in football. But... I still can't shoot very well. I always push my kids to use both feet early as I waited until I was in my teens.

But... I didn't apply this logic to my hand. I can't throw very well at all with my left hand.

Good on ya man. If that kid can kick with either foot he will be so much more of a threat out there. And once you learn to do 1 thing with your less dominant side, everything else becomes easier.

When I broke my arm my left hand had to do all the work for at least, 3 months. and the majority of the work for about 4 more months.

Once my right hand became free to do whatever; i lost all the greatness my left hand gained.

i say stick with your dominant.
