Would You Snitch?

let me start off by saying....no, i didn't snitch and i am not planning on it....i just wanted to know what other people would do in my situation....well, here's my situation......


i was watching the news the other day and then they said that an armed robbery took place at a 7-11 not too far from where i live and that the robbery was caught on tape so they showed it......then after watching the footage of the robbery they zoomed in on their face's and showed a picture of the two people who did it...and to my surprise it was two people i know...there was no mistaking them..after they zoomed in and froze the pic...i knew for sure it was them...and another thing that confirmed my belief was seeing these two guys earlier that week...i heard them talking about how they needed money because both of them got kicked out of there parents' houses' a couple weeks prior and they were homeless and tired of sleeping on other peoples floors and couch's and then they came up with the idea of robbing a liqour store or a 7-11 but i didn't take them serious i thought that they were just talking shit...but looking back on it now...they sounded serious as a heart attack.

Now i'm watching the news and they're saying that there is like a 5,000-10,000 dollar reward for any information leading to their arrest....and it's not like these guys are my friends or anything...i just know them cause i went to high school with them....i've never had any problems with them....i smoked blunts with them before you know...it's not like we hang out...sometimes we just happen to run into each other, say what's up then be on our ways....that's as far as our relationship goes...so IF i did snitch...it wouldn't be like i was turning my back on one of my close homies or anything....but i can't snitch....for the simple fact that i don't want to be labled as a snitch and lose all the respect i've earned over the years around my way

so what would ya'll do if you were in my size 12's(shoes)?

And I would say it's your own choice, because eventually someone would snitch on them. Most of the time, cops leave the people who give tips anonymous, so you shouldn't worry about losing your cred. But as I said before, make your own decision based on circumstances

no, i live in MD but to get the reward i would have to go to court and testify against them....and in court the only people who can stay anonymous are minors

In that case you shouldn't do it for obvious reasons, first off, you will be labeled as a snitch and second, you will most likely get jumped after those folks get free or you might get jumped by their homies.

jumped...? more like killed.....btw i'm not asking wether or not if ya'll think i should do it...cause i never planned on snitching in the first place...i was taught to never snitch....not even to save yourself...i just wanted to know what other people would do in my situation....

The only time I would was if they were over the top in their robbery. Shot a woman or kid.
I've had a chance to earn that amount of money by grassing someone up and I turned it down. I don't wanna look bad.

But, someone else will recognise them and claim the cash, it's your call.

dawg let me say this in the most intelligent way i can... a smart man minds his business.. theres no price on trust, knowledge and keeping your mouth shut.. wen someone goes to jail (i kno from experience) u can feel ur freedom being like a rug ripped out from under u so imagine if u did snitch they got booked and thru the grapevine niggas hear u snitched.. ur honor is gone you will not be trusted by anyone and anyone who chills wit u will be known as "the snitches friends" and im tellin u straight up the streets watch everything atleast in toronto that remain anonymous shit is crap it comes out in court dawg in something called a disclosure since the crown has to show the defence attorney that the snitch is a credible snitch and in disclosure it will say Your name...how u gonna collect 5 - 10 grand anonymously? yeah rite as soon as u do ur taxes ur identity is made known to the government n how u got the money regardless i think... u should jus mind ur business 10 g's aint a lot of money what u gonna do wen its gone n niggas know ur a snitch ur gonna wish u didnt do it.. i can name every person who snitched on me since its always been in disclosure watch urself homie

Psssssh, depends on the person and the seriousness of there crime, if it was a really close friend then no, if it was just a guy i know and he killed some people, FUCK YES, imagine being told that your mother or father was killed in a robbery, they could find the people that did it if someone says something, its this bullshit "snitch" code that keeps all these fucking killaz, pedos, robbers at large.
look at John Gotti and all the motherfuckers he was killin, look at all the other drug barons, kingpin type of people in the world ruining peoples lives and making them live in fear, shit, if u aint the type of person that would snitch on those type of peope then your a little bitch becuz your too scared to do anything.

in your case, i wouldnt snitch becuz you might get killed, if they paid me a mill, id snitch on them, laugh all the way to the bank but since its just a few grand, fuck it.
