Pac’s Life is arguably the best 2pac album released in the 21st century. Okay, I understand the desire for the music to be released in its original format, but come on… you all should be grateful, are you all aware that if Pac hadn’t died we wouldn’t have been exposed to wonderful songs such as “Do for Love”, “Changes”, “Unconditional Love”, “Never Call You Bitch” etc. They would all be sitting in some vault somewhere. Therefore, it should be said that, Amura is doing us a favor by letting us hear this wonderful music.
In addition, I acknowledge the fact that most of the music released has been sub-par but let me reinforce this - Pac’s Life is arguably the best 2pac album released in the 21st century. Compared to Until the End of Time and Better days, it’s a classic. This owes mostly to the fact that those 2 albums were plagued with inappropriate instrumentals. For instance, most of the Johnny J instrumentals on UTEOT are R&B type shit. To make matters worse, these R&B type instrumentals were paired with Pac’s aggressive flow i.e “Lil Homies”, “You Don’t Have 2 Worry”, “This Ain’t Living” etc. In terms of BD, though I bought this album, I hated it. This was due to Jazzy-Phae’s weak production style. Note: I’m not considering LTTG as an album.
It should be noted, that Pac’s Life isn’t without its flaws....i.e. LT. Hutton’s and Swizz Beat’s mediocre production… (who the fuck taught LT. Hutton how to mix a song)… The cover art is another factor. Really what the fuck is that?
All things considered, it is still a good album; it’s the music we have been craving for, for a long time, some aggressive rider music.
