Why do people say biggie and pac is the greatest?

2pac got shot, went to jail, came back did a few albums, talked alot of shit, got shot and killed. i dont see what he did to change history like some fools are saying. i dont see how he can be compared to a malcolm x or a martin luther king, thats a bunch of nonesense. he was just a rapper. if any rapper did anything for society, it was eazy e,he brought rap to a whole nother level, then everyone just began feeding off that level.sure 2pac is a legend because he died at the top of his game. same with biggie. im sure if they didnt die they would have eventually fell off. everyone falls off at some point, unless they retire at the top of their game. i mean look at snoop.

lol@eazy e changing society....so he helped move guns into America? He taught everyone how to be disrespectful to women? He taught everyone to stick the finger up and say fuck the police. He taught everyone how to be a gangsta and use violence against there own people....Actually, better yet. Get the fuck out of here.

I have been wondering about this for a while, but really didnt pay it no mind. But is people trying to just put biggie on the top level, out of some type of respect for new york or something? Or just trying to put him on top to keep it a Makaveli vs Biggie thing?

I dont get it?

Because biggie has only what lol 3 albums? Badboy was big back in the days, but pac and deathrow and other major westcoast rappers really did put them to shame.

Biggie cant be the greatest rappers, and i dont believe that. I can name about 5 other rappers that has more albums then him, maybe less and has a better style then biggie.

I think all this is bs tho, someone is lying to make him look good or to keep him on the same with pac. Because from my eyes, biggie is in the back of the line.

Hell, spice 1 has a better style then biggie.
quality not quanitity

WELL HELL-STUDIED THEM ON YOUR OWN, OR WHATEVER. YOU STILL STUDIED IT.

I can make music, act, be an activist & write poetry......why would I not be in the same bracket as Tupac? Because I'm not as good at it as him? Well, there's the same reason why Tupac isn't touching world renouned philosophers.

ANSWER THIS-WELL SINCE YOU SEEM SO "EDUCATED" OR "SELF-TAUGHT" tell me why 2pac isn't touching world renouned philosophers.

Oh, & "actual poet". Read some Seamus Heaney or something man, Tupac was a poor poet.

First of all who are you to judge any mans work and label it as poor. Everyone is unique and gifted in their own way and can spread their points of view differently. Just because you like or lets say adore Seamus Heaney's poetry doesn't make 2pac's poetry work anymore less or poorer.

And this proves what? A minute ago you were lambasting me for only recognizing certain individuals because you assumed I'd studied them in school, now you're reasoning because you & others have studied something of Tupac's in school that that should be particularly important? Nice double standard you got there.

I don't remember hailing anyone as "great".

And these people you refer to, none of them made an instant impact, eh? Mmm, nice genralization but, sadly, it's bullshit.

And even those who weren't recognized in their lifetime, does that make their achievements any less? That alone would make Tupac's achievements considerably less since a lot of people - hell, most of this board - only recognized him after he was dead.

WTF-When or where did I ever say their achievements were any less? Most renouned philosophers were amostly recognized after their death. What I said was that 2Pac was more recognized quickly after his death than probably any of these "renouned philosophers".

So we're on page 7. When you typed this, we were on page 6. When I posted what you are quoting me on, we were on page 4. Tell me, did you have an epiphany? I really hope so, because I'll be disappointed if this post is as tired as usual.

Obviously. But what you said was, "The only reason you are hailing those philosophers over Tupac is because you studied them in school", implying that you believed I only "hail" - which, btw I don't do, I merely accept them to be of a certain calibre - them because I "studied them in school". I pointed out this was not the case & as such, you were wrong. Everything I said then clearly points to what you've said here so there was no real point in you posting this part.

Why not? Hmm, perhaps because his thoughts were not revolutionary - then or now.

The truly world renouned philosophers often thought way outside the box, to the point that many were deemed crazy in their lifetime. I guess, given your flights of fancy, I best clarify that I am not stating that you must be deemed mentally insane during your lifetime to be "renouned".

Then there were others who said the simplest of things, but said them with the utmost conviction & followed them through to the end making themselves infinitely more credible in the process for to show & tread the road, is harder than just showing it. And much harder still than just alluding to it.

Many philosophers are gauged by the impact they had on the world & it's inhabitants - both during their lifetime & afterwards. It's important I suppose, but is not the be all & end all.

And why don't you do me a favour, & explain to me why you are so obsessed with my intellect?

Who am I? How much time do you have? Should I run off every label ever given to me - by self or by others - & then explain to you what is truth & what is not? For both our sakes, I think I'll just let you realize that you are mistaken to have such an attitude, as everyone has the right to be a critic.

But while we're here, why don't you explain to me why you have the right to judge the man's work & label it as anything but "poor"?

Yes, "everyone is unique" to some degree, but "gifted" is, again, subjective.

Once again you find a way to turn an assumption into a lie. I never said I liked Seamus Heaney's poetry - this was your assumption - & I didn't even imply that I "adored" it - that was your lie seeing as you made a conscious decision to make a statement which has no basis.

And no, my opinion does not change Tupac's poetry. It wasn't much before I ever laid eyes on it, & it is still such now.

After presenting me with information favourable to your point of view, & thus Tupac's credibility, you stated that The person or people you hail as great didn't have an impact until hundreds of yrs later. This implies that the distinction between instant recognization & delayed recognization makes a difference to the weight that should be given to an individual's achievements. I pointed out that it does not.

And that's another couple of assumptions you've got there. You must be assuming that I am reocognizing certain philosophers as "renouned" & then assuming that Tupac was recognized more quickly after his death than them.

No more things should be presumed to exist than are absolutely necessary - William of Occam.

Sadly you disappointed me....this is as tired as usual :(

Edit: And you've yet to tell me whcih question of yours I have not answered.

You call everyone a dickrider. But the funny thing is, I didn't mention Pac in that last post .

But the difference is that Eazy E stayed on one topic. And that was always about the same bullshit. So how the fuck can you come out with something so stupid? Your basically saying that he helped society in a negative way. Because he didn't say nothing positive to help the people within the music he was releasing. I don't mind Eazy. But that was a stupid point you made. So, how does that make me a dickrider? lol

Your like one of those users on here, who follow what others say. So I can understand why you call users dickriders all the time. Even though that bullshit is getting very old and boring when you don't use it in the right terms.

The man never changed history but he has impacted and influenced plenty from this generation and up and coming ones.
so if he never changed history, what are you on about? and the "people" that he influenced, what did they do, please explain this, give me some examples??? or you can just throw talk around trying to act like you have a brain...

Hituup said:
He was a man on a mission with goals that ended up getting his life shortened in a tragedy.
and thats why he did not do anything for society except make music. maybe he intended to change history but his life was cut short before he was able to.

for your own benefit, please quit talking now and save the embarassement. i'm sure no one will take someone who thinks crooked i and kurupt are bums seriously .......

So I cannot agree with someone's opinion? Nonesense...and tying me to calcuo is a sad attempt at disproving my points. ;)

But I saw something that I thought was bollox, therefore I replied to that comment. Is there any harm in that? No. If this is just STRICTLY stuck on Pac topic, then Eazy should have never been mentioned. See how dumb that sounds?
And as for putting the pipe down. I think that you should take your own advice, since I was never tying you to Calcao lol. That was a very stupid and lame thing to say.

You were indirectly
I was very clear with my argument. And my argument was about the claims you made. Love it, or hate it :thumb:. In MY opinion. Eazy E did nothing for society :thumb:

I was indirectly? And you say I sound dumb? Calcao's name didn't even cross my mind . Come out of Calcao's arse! I didn't even have to say anything, but somehow you made yourself look like an arselicker :thumb:.

I've said what I have wanted to say. So I am not replying to your pathetic posts.

Great point, you can be proud of this.

This is completely relevant to the thread. About as relevant as your insistance on misspelling a username which you could copy & paste.

And he made who see the world differently?

I'm always being attacked in the Life section of this board, yes.

If you were trying to say something personal about me, you best watch your step since you are close to breaching the rules of the board - which you have done before & if you continue you to do so will most likely result in a ban.

"Sensitive"? Check the dictionary. My conviction is not that of a "sensitive" person. I have replied to everything anyone has directed at me & accounted for my statements, something which the rest of you cannot lay claim to. I have also refrained from insulting or degrading any of you, despite petty insults being thrown at me.

I need not argue, you people manage to argue against yourselves for me.

"the world hates me"? While obviously a foolish statement, I would like you to elaborate.

Furthermore, I expect you not to reply. It is what people in this section seem to do when I rebut their posts - hide.
