Biggie was just a cowardly bitch of a man.Great rapper maybe but not a great man.making songs like Long Kiss Goodnight proved this.

Some dude said in some interview that Biggie never freestyled.Iv also heard that he never wrote.which is it.

I wouldn't say that he never wrote. I'm sure he did, but he just thought of stuff in his head for a while then rapped it rather than writing it down. I don't have the issue in front of me (since it's at home and I'm at work), but in a back issue of VIBE with Pac and Biggie on the cover and quotes from their friends, I think it was DJ Premier who said that in the recording studio, specifically for the session where they did "Unbelievable", they gave Biggie a notepad, but he just took it and rolled his weed on it. He listened to it a few times, then laid his verses. I also remember reading somewhere (maybe in the same magazine) that he didn't really write down any lyrics from Life After Death, and that he thought up the lyrics and just kept it in his head.

Buy a DVD called Freestyle - The Art Of Rhyme. Its a great investment.

It shows and talks about how Biggie would often take lines from his freestyles and them use them for his retail verses - not the other way round as most people assume.

Also has the footage of Pac & Big freestyling.

Or maybe Big already made the lyrics at home or some place and remembered the verse in the studio? the only difficult part would be to get the flow right but that isnt hard either.

Alot of rappers do that, even me.
I believe that Pac also had methods like this to keep his recording sessions as minimal and fast as possible.

who shot ya was created at the same time as ready to die era songs: before 2Pac was shot

in fact, it was featured on the relatively scarce lp release
It was also featured on the Big Poppa Remix CD single. I had it back in the day.

Also, here is the stuff from VIBE that I was talking about:
DJ Premier: [In the studio] he was very quick. When we did "Unbelievable," we had been in the studio for the longest time doing nothing but listening to the track. I was getting worried. We still smoking and drinking and he ain't writing nothing. THen he just said, "Okay, I'm ready." He went into the booth and just did it.
Damion Butler: Big never wrote a rhyme down in his life. That used to be my fun. Every time he had to do a song with a different artist, I know that they were thinking Big was bullshitting. They'd give him a pen and a pad and Big would move the pen, pull out his weed and crush it on the pad. He'd say, "Keep rewinding the beat and turn it up." When he died he had six songs done in his head. That's why I don't believe weed messes up your brain cells, 'cause that dude had a photographic memory like a muthafucker.

My cousin has this version of the vinyl. He has all the early Bad Boy catalogue on vinyl, cos he bought it all in NYC when it first came out in the early 90's. The craig mack vinyls are the best, they got some crazy shit on there! I remember the first time I seen that he had this version of ready 2 die, i was goin crazy, i was like whoa where the fuck you get this!! It has a promo poster of Biggie inside it n everything!!!
