This is something that I have thought about every now and then for the past few years, I want your opinions on this. In the interview entitled "Nigga Kingdom" from The Last Interview CD, Pac says the following:
"I'm 25, I can't be khaki'd out. Any nigga you see out there, khaki'd out, as old as he is, you know what I mean? I don't care if you put it out there or not, but I just don't like..."
Right after that, he pauses and then starts talking about Ice Cube, but it seemed as if Pac stopped himself before saying something, then he decided to talk about Ice Cube. In my opinion, he wasn't initially talking about Ice Cube, that's why his response wasn't fluid. Or was he really talking about Cube? I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I hear this part of the interview, I always think of Tray Deee. Pac and Tray Deee knew each other through Death Row, so I'm sure there was at least a mutual respect for one another. Tray Deee is pretty traditional, and he still rocks khakis today ("Any nigga you see out there, khaki'd out"). I don't know his exact age, but at the VERY LEAST he is well into his 40s ("as old as he is"). He has always been very much into putting in work for the Crips ("I don't care if you put it out there or not"), as he was supposedly one of the frontline fighters in a lot of the quarrels between the Bloods and Crips in the early '80s and was recently incarcerated for his role in a 2003 shooting. But I figure Pac stopped his words and talked about Ice Cube instead because he knew that Tray Deee is a respected OG, and he didn't need to put his name on blast like that since he knows better, plus it's not like he had a reason to call him out.
I don't know, what do you guys think? Does it make sense or is that a little far-fetched? Or is he talking about old Gs in general?
