Not only is there no standard amount of sugar you should have per day, no one should actually have any amount of added sugar, corn syrup, dextrose, high fructose garbage, etc. What one should have is fruit, and plenty of it. 5-10 servings, say. And for fruit juice, you should water it down by half. It's too concentrated to drink a whole glass straight without raising your blood sugar too high, esp. if you have problems.
