ok im even more lost now, here's some option what i think u tried 2 say:
2pac was asking to be purified in hail mary?
well, I'm not sure what you mean by 'purified' ... Pac knew he was no saint, I don't think Pac's image was ever 'pure' and I don't think that's what Pac was going for in this or any other song.

2pac tried 2 apoligize for the shit he did?
not necessarily for the shit he did, but I believe Pac was apologetic to God for the situation he was put in and how he handled certain challenges of his life, and this is evident in this song. following up to your next question, though, I think that moreso than being apologetic to God, he was asking God for forgiveness.

2pac was praying for forgiveness 2 god b4 he died?
yes, this is the standout message I get from Hail Mary.

2pac was simply portraying a ghetto view of the catholic religion in his eye's?
this is off on a limb, I don't think Pac was trying to critique Catholicism and draw elaborate metaphors for the religion.... we all knew Pac was very educated about history, religion, and sociology, and again, I think this was Pac's personification behind the Hail Mary. Pac mentioned specific names and ideas in interviews and songs that he knew many would not understand, but he also knew that some educated listeners would connect with him on these things and realize he knew what he was doing.
a good example of this, I was listening to Tupac's court testimony when he was called to the witness stand (it's a bonus feature on Resurrection DVD) and he was asked by the prosecution "what is rap?" Pac said rap is poetry, a beat is is not necessarily needed, and (I quote) "even iamic pentameter is rap" which TOTALLY threw off the prosecutor, who obviously had no clue what iamic pentameter was, based on his response to Pac's response. what I'm trying to say is Pac was a lot more educated than most people realize, and I think he said things at times he knew many would skip over and not realize the significance.
don't forget what books, authors, and figures Pac studied.... Machiavelli, Shakespeare, Sun Tzu, the Bible, etc....
