^^ Never ever?

I sometimes have a soy burger for dinner or a snack. Most are really bland but there are a few that have a nice kick to it.
Whole Foods (do you have that there?) usually has really nice spicy black bean burger in their prepared foods section. it's delicious.

I love Whole Foods. I go there ALL the time in Portland, Vancouver, San Francisco.....

I actually saw a woman in London with a Whole Foods bag which means there must be one in London, so I need to find out where it is. I'm going to look it up right now, you just reminded me I've been meaning to do that.

Never tried this black bean burger. I am very curious about it, as it sounds yummy. I fear the musical symphony from my bumbum after eating it though...

lol, its not super spicy so I think you'll be OK. It cooks great in the George Foreman.. just be sure not to overcook it as it can get kinda tough :p

There are a few in London, there's one in Kensington, Camden, Clapham, Soho and Stoke Newington its pretty expensive though compared to he US but I think you get most of the same/similar stuff.

/\ Thanks. I pretty much assumed it would be pretty expensive compared to the US. Oh well..... Hopefully I'll be able to check one out soon. Going to the US next week for a month though so I can enjoy it while I'm there.

i havent been inside a door of McDonalds in about 5 years. and even then i rarely went there.

i remember when we were kids. my mom would never take us to McDonalds or places like that. except on birthdays maybe.

nowadays you see parents feeding their kids in McDonalds and other fast food most of the time.

Same here. We only went on special occasions, or once in a few months. My mother (and Grandmother) always insisted on home cooked meals, even if we didn't have much money she put an effort into making a big meal. You can't put a price on eating healthy, I say.

I get the feeling that a lot of people on sh are way too paranoid about MCdonalds food. You will get unhealthy fast food anywhere but Mcdonalds seems to be the only one that gets aimed at. Everything in moderation folks. A lot of peeps here probably smoke too much, drink too much, do too much drugs, and their bothered about throwing a cheese burger down their throats.

^^no it isnt but other fast food seems healthier that McDonalds.

for example here in ireland we have a chain called SUpermac's and while the food there is fattening it doesnt seem as unhealthy as McDonalds. the fries are thicker and have a lot more potatoe in them and some of the chicken products are 100% irish chicken not processed. if was going to have fast food id go there and not McDonalds. or id have a pizza

I eat @ Mickey D's prolly like...once a month. Maybe. Maybe it's 8 times a year these days.

Anyway, it's rare. And just by eating it you can taste the horribleness, but sometimes you get that craving for a Big Mac or a Chicken burger.

We don't have a BK around here either :(

Most of my snacking, if i do so, takes place at just a local snackbar.

I don't snack.

Anyway, if it weren't for being drunk off my ass at 3am a couple days out of the week, I probably would never eat at any fast food chains. It helps that I don't smoke weed lately, too. But I don't ever forbid myself from eating a particular food if I really want to. Sometimes, I get a real strong craving for a 3-piece leg and thigh meal with mashed potatoes and gravy and a side of coleslaw from KFC. That includes biscuits, of course. If there were dead babies in it, I'd still eat it 'cause it tastes so good.

Right. Because a pizza is so much healthier than a meal from McDonald's.

proper veggie burgers are my favourite. the ones with carrots, broccoli, sweetcorn, mashed potatoe.

ive also made my own at home once before and they were like the best thing ever with a touch of tomato ketchup inside some baps.

One of my cousins used to say McDonalds was like a cheap hooker. When you're really hungry for it, you don't give a fuck, but as soon as you're done, you'll regret it. Pretty good comparison lol.
