^how can you come in a thread full of music and still bitch about it? Doesn't music make you happy?

Most of the stuff aren't videos at all they just show is a single picture (click the Kanye song posted above to see). Besides, you don't need to watch the video.

yall serious ly listen 2 records by going on youtube then see this thread and copy paste the shit cause your listening 2 it?

Sometimes I listen to something on YouTube, mostly I'm bumping something on winamp and then I think "i should post this", then i find the corresponding youtube vid and post that link in here.

Since the objective of this thread is to easily share music, popping up a Tube link is the easiest way to do so. Why would I bother uploading an mp3 file when I can just link people to the same song?

That's DJ Shadow at it's finest, fellas. Endtroducing, from 1996, was made almost entirely from samples. Pretty amazing stuff if you think about it. Awesome fucking beats. He did production work for Paris too.

His 2002 work Private Press is also awesome. If you like it, start tubing it and see if you like it. It's definitely worth picking up imo.

So whats up, boys? You liked the track, asked what it was, I elaborate and throw more stuff up and then....silence.

It's alright if you don't like his other work, lol. Just make me feel appreciated :(

No really, what do you think of those tracks I posted? (lookin at you, Ristol, illmatic)

Okay, Mr. Duke:

I listened to every track you posted*. One by one:

1) Number Song: this works very well. I'd like to hear some epic rap verse over it. I've been listening to Nas lately, so I'd like to hear what he could do. Just one of those ridiculous, scorched-earth, five minute verses would be great.

2) Grain of Salt: You know that English rapper The Streets? Mike Skinner, I believe his name is. He could make a song over this. It may be the best thing you posted. Sick.

3) Mashin' on the Motorway: Beat calls to mind one of my favorite bands, Soul Coughing. Lyrics are funny stuff. The beat is what matters here, which is obviously becoming a pattern.

4) Blood on the Motorway: I could deal without the voiceover at the beginning. Once that stops, it becomes nice. Very nice. Who could I imagine rapping over this one? Hmm. Maybe the guy we all came to the board for in the first place. Think about it.

5) That Metallica Song: eight minutes long, are you kidding me? Fuck that and fuck Metallica. Okay, fine, I listened to it. I don't love the band but the song is okay. Do you know the song "Some Kind of Monster"?

As you know my tastes run mainly toward American alt/indie rock and any kind of Britpop, but I liked this stuff quite a bit. Have you ever listened to Massive Attack?

*I expect the same of you, Duke, when I post some sick tracks. Yeah bra.

The Metallica track was mainly for myself :p Ofc i know some kind of monster. From the St. Anger album. A lot of Metallica fans don't like it but its okay imo.

I don't listen to the DJ Shadow tracks and imagine a rapper over it. Well, sometimes but it's not a necessary thing for me. I think these tracks can stand alone really well. Some of the tracks are good background music, some are really conjuring up a very spooky atmosphere (like blood o/t motorway).

I haven't heard a lot of Massive Attack, but Unfinished Symphony is def. one of my favorites from the 90's and from the genre. I know Teardrop as well, but that's where my knowledge of MA ends really. I should work on that.

That's one of my favorite Carcass songs (the original). This mix strangely works.

Now listening to
