I had so many people help us out when we were being lost tourists, one guy walks up to us speaking God knows what and we looking completely blank until he says "sprecken ze deutsch?" to which we all said no. He still tried to help by leading us somewhere, luckily not a dark alley. This came in handy when we were in Vienna trying to find a club when we saw a group of guys and we asked "sprecken ze english?" and they said yes! woot, we found the club, which had candy behind glass in the toilet rooms and dodgy looking peoples.. But they played gangsta's paradise and that was that. You can find nice people anywhere, besides France.

No, I don't hate the Italians. I believe it is because I know very little French so travelling through there it had a different atmosphere to other parts of Europe. I plan on going back but would like to learn a bit more French and see what the difference is, if any.

I'm learning Italian right now... Written, there's not much difference.. Spoken, there's a big difference. I can understand now when Italians speak slowly, but when they speak like real Italians.... Yeah I have no clue what's going on lol.

Eh? Italians? French?

Italians speak Italian. French is spoken by the French.

Stop making these American-esque mistakes.

I would like to learn Italian, I prefer the sound of it, but the Italians try to help you if you dont know where the French leave you hangin :(
When I was in Florence we were trying to find a supermarket and was asking someone who didn't know what we were saying - fair enough it was mostly english. Driving to our hotel in Rome I see a supermarket. The Italian word for supermarket is supermarketo! What the hell, they should have known. Oh and European supermarkets rock!

YOU Sir are making the mistake. Italians was in relation to the cheating comment, as an Australian we remember the last World Cup! BAH at you I say!
