1. nas was talking about a gun but ,how do u think pac saw it or made him think a gun was his gurlfriend just by hearing " i gave u power"?
2.then for not hardcore fans just thought of it like jay-z ohhh pac is talking about his woman but his really not. the part makes u think pac is a genius is when he say's i ("i love figga fucking u.....)woowwww.

If your influenced by something/someone your not going to copy it exactly how the original was done (unless your uncreative) Its fairly obvious to me anyway that Pac took what Nas was saying and flipped it, instead of writting from the guns point of view he was writting like the gun was a woman. I Gave U Power and Me & My Girlfriend have a similarity by writting in a point of view not many songs explore. But ofcourse they are not the same.

yes, pac got the idea from nas. i think somebody may have even said it in xxl's making of makaveli. we all know he heard it was written since he referenced the "fake thug, no love" lyrics in one of his interviews. from the interview pac said he liked nas, but felt he was gettin at them with those lyrics. and they are on the same album. i also think i read somewhere that pac really liked that whole album. this is why it is believable what nas says about how they made up before he died. becuase its hard not to respect nas on a rap level

and yes, im pretty sure jay-z and everybody else for that matter realizes pac was talking about a gun. thats common knowledge. jayz just took the beat and the hook but changed the concept
