does anyone use Logic Pro? I'm trying to figure out benefits of Logic over GarageBand when all I really want are more loops. I feel Logic is overkill just for a few hundred more loops. But it seems the Jam Packs are for Logic, not for GB.

Anyone familiar with this?

Logic shines when you use the synths to create your own sounds. You cant do that in GarageBand. GarageBand sucks.

Open up Logic, layer an 808 kick with a low pass sine wave. Mmm....

Just got it working in full swing. Logic is like Photoshop to me: so many menus and options I dunno wtf to do with all of them.

I managed to edit an old GB song I had but I'm sure I could have done it with G itself. I'll just keep looking around, maybe read some tutorials. Again, this is just for fun, so nothing professional quality here.

No disrespect intended, but I think it is a case of you not being an experienced enough producer right now to notice the limitations of garage band. Once you learn more you'll see how limited it is. Logic is amazing.

Yeah, but I don't consider myself a producer. I realize I'm lacking in skills so it's all Greek to me with all these menus. Like I said, some tutorials and hands-on experience should make it a bit better. But I realize Logic is professional software. Otherwise, it would not be upwards of $500.

Got the Jam Packs too. Now those are fun. Jesse told me to send a beat his way if I make one. I may do that.
