Have you ever gotten really stoned and been doing one thing while listening to a Pac CD and then it happens. While you're there only half way paying attention to the music while focusing on your task at hand, one of the songs for some reason leaks into your brain and starts to stick out more than the others. It's a song that was just part of the album before. You've heard it 1,000's of times, you sing along all the time, but this one time, for some reason, you just hear it differently or something and you're like "damn, that's a fat fucking track, and I've never noticed it before"?

That just happened to me with "It Ain't Easy" off MATW. I was bumpging the MATW CD while posting on the forums here. All of the sudden, for whatever reason, "It Ain't Easy" leaked in and I was just like "yeah...this is a bad tune, this isn't even a rap song, this is some straight up poetry shit".

This song is now one of my top faves.

fuck man of course it happens to pac fans. its inevitable!!!

I had the same thing with heaven aint hard to find. haha

also the funny story you guys will probably hear this year. back in 96 when they released All Eyez On Me, my frined just returned from U.S. and he was bringing us all the tape (special order - we just saw california love video and the whole contry was hooked on pac even though we didnt even knew who the fuck was he until someone said its makaveli/pac) anyway back to the story - so the guy brought the tape and a cd but cd players were not in everyones homes back then so we had to ask for tapes. Evyone basically were really hungry and we had to record a copy for each person. So for some reason my copy of the tape never had "Ain't Hard 2 Find". So i came to us in september 7 of 1996, right when it all was in the news, but after that i bought 7 day album then greatest hits, and not until the end of 98 i actually bought the album and heard that track, i was like WTF???? for me it was really a HUGE SURPRISE that fucking track was always on the album but i never heard it, i mean by that time i had bunch of bootleg Cd's but never heard that track. how fucked up that is? haha

peace

Don't gotta be high.. i think if you listen to a song long enough, assuming it's not crap, you'll discover the litte things bout it and like it more eventually. For me it was the whole R U Still Down album... before i just liked IWIHGAG and hellrazor, but then i didn't listen to it for a long time, and then i found it outta nowhere and now i like every song and the more i play the better they sound!

The exact opposite happens to me as well. I listen to a song when I first buy the album, then rarely listen to it after that (Like "No More Pain" on AEOM).
