You can take the African out of the bush, but you can't take the bush out of the African.

Same applies to Tupac. He carried his childhood belligerence with him all the way to his death. When he stomped out Orlando, he bragged about knockin him out "like Tyson" to his cousin. That's that type of childhood belligerence/hood mentality shit. How are you going to brag about it, when it was like 10 vs 1 and not to mention, you were seen and will get jailed for that. Not thinking things through was his problem. However, alcohol and drugs had a big effect, too.

Also, I do realize that the African-bush thing is quite a racist thing to say, lol.
pac knocked him down before the rest of the crew jumped in. pac was only 25. that is young as fuck. i'm 27 and i still do stupid shit sometimes although not as much as i use to. you're right about alcohol and drugs playing a big part. most of the stupid shit i do is when im drunk. pacs problem was he tried to live up to his image too much and that's why he is dead. being real was too important to him unfortunately.

I strongly believe all of Tupac's 'negatives' were natural to his humanity. I honestly believe that Tupac had extremely high moral and ethical stature. Above all his intentions were good. He only beat people down because they got in his way, attacked him first, or because Tupac felt like he couldn't be an angel all the time when society is full of devils.

Yee i feel ya' there! I think for 'Pac to be the person he was then he had to have all the characteristics you like or dislike in people. He was every emotion rolled into one. And he pulled it off with charisma - something thats very difficult to do.

But if there was a dislike then it had to be the alcohol, cuz some of the unreleased cuts you hear theres slurries in his words which were obviously from too much drink. But if alcohol gave him the energy to mash out 200 plus tunes then someone get the man another bottle!

exactly what i was thinking. Pac was just fighting to survive. I saw him as a wide eyed guy who loves his mom. He got caught up in some sh*t, got shot and affiliated with people "devils" that could get him out of jail and possibly keep him safe, and thus he had to act like them. I feel he was a really introspective person, he knew wat he was doing most of the time. just think about it, he came out of jail, with a hunger to go at Biggie, but listen to all eyez on me, how many direct references to Biggie do you hear in the music, next to nothing,,i beleive he was more level headed then most people thought him to be ,...

"To all you bitch made niggas, I'm comin for you
Against all odds, I don't care who the fuck you is, nigga
You touch me I'm at you
I know you motherfuckers think that I forgot
Hell no I ain't forgot nigga
I just remember what you told me
You said don't go to war unless I got my money behind me
Aight, I got my money right here, now I want war"
- against all odds

A fight for survival, thats what it was all about, dealing with the hate from numerous people (rappers, politicians, fans) on a daily basis, any normal human being is bound to do and say things which seem arrogant/ignorant.!..

its just unfortunate he had to drown out his frustrations, stress and paranoia with too much weed and alcohol, i guess it was the only way he could escape from the world he built around himself

"They ask me why I'm high / And my reply until the day I die / Don't wanna picture this cold world through sober eyes"

Back to the Thread,
hmmmm, somthing i hated about Pac,,hmmmm..,he made them graphic sex songs, makes it hard for a nigga to listen to when parents are around...DAMN YOU PAC!!!
