Okay, time for a couple of you kids to take a breather, and realise the world does not revolve around Tupac. He didn't win for best documentary, and I was dissapointed, but you don't need to curse the Academy for it.
The most stigmatized people in Sonagachi, Calcutta's red light district, are not the prostitutes, but their children. In the face of abject poverty, abuse, and despair, these kids have little possibility of escaping their mothers' fate or for creating another type of life. Yet, these children of prostitutes embark on a transformational journey.

^^^ thats what beat 2pac....?????

man fuck tha academy :)

^ This year's Oscars is for movies released in 2004... the nominations come out after the year is done. So the Oscars for 2005 will be handed out in 2006.

T:R was nominated for The Best Documentary of 2004 out of 100s of other films, that's a good thing.

^ I would have taped it if I knew that people would have wanted to see a 3 second clip of somebody saying "and the nominees are... Tupac :Resurrection"... nah really, it's nothing, you didn't miss anything.

It sucks that he didn't win, but oh well. Maybe the MTV Movie Awards will show some love.

It kinda sucks that 2Pac is mentioned at the Oscars more than at the Grammy's, though.

They didn't show any video of it. They only said 2pac resurrection and it had a little tiny picture of 2pac from the movie. (not anything like they showed on Best Actor or actress.

if you really feel like bitching about resurrection not winning, blame yourself for downloading it instead of traveling to the next city over to see it.

...then take a deep breath and realize that a documentary about a rapper, or one published by mtv for that matter, will never win anyway. choose your battles instead of wasting life banging your head into the wall.
