The Official NBA Thread 2011-12

Tracy McGrady(notes) and the Houston Rockets have reached a mutual decision that allows him to leave the team while the two sides try to facilitate a trade, likely ending the former All-Star guard’s tenure with the franchise, an NBA source said Monday.

“I will tell you what … if anything were to happen, whoever [trades for him] is going to get a hell of a player,” McGrady said. “A hungry one, too.”

Its about time.

^lol, Too much competition for them to be voted in imo.

Yo check it:
The Houston Rockets would love to unload Tracy McGrady(notes) and his $23 million contract right about now and the New York Knicks might be the team to do it for them, according to the New York Times. After all, McGrady isn't helping the Rockets at all while being on extended leave from the team.

Knicks president Donnie Walsh and head coach Mike D'Antoni are apparently very intrigued with the idea of bringing McGrady in to see how he does in New York. That way, if the Knicks can't snag any other big free agents this summer, the team would be in a good position to sign McGrady to a deal.

"I think you always have to be intrigued with somebody the stature of Tracy McGrady," D'Antoni said.

They gonna clear up salary cap like a mofo for Lebron.

Ah, even the bulls are interested:

One of the regrettable chapters in recent Bulls history was the failed free-agent pursuit of 2000.

The No. 1 target was Toronto's Tracy McGrady(notes), who was met at O'Hare Airport by mascots, Luv-a-Bulls and a three-piece band playing "Sweet Home Chicago."

It was all for naught as McGrady chose Orlando. Nearly 10 years later, the Bulls may get another chance.

McGrady recently left the Houston Rockets and both sides reportedly will seek a trade. Sources suggested the Bulls are open to acquiring McGrady, who is just 30 years old.

i wish they just buyout his contract so the spurs sign him

pistons have no identity. pistons have no low post scorer other than maxiell but hes under sized. will bynum imo is better than stucky. gordon/villanueva dont play any defense. rip/prince injured and i doubt they still wanna be in a pistons uni. surprisingly wallace was putting up good number, best since he left the pistons.
