Tha Realest & Ballad Of A Dead Soldier?

#62
if this counts as 2Pac Featuring the Realest then Ghetto Gospel (Em version) must feature Eminem too because Eminem says 'Peace' in the track! I mean damn, does it really matter that Realest help master the song, its not like anyone noticed it until Rukas brought it up! The track is a 2Pac song, not a Realest remake so stop making a big deal out of it.

i fail to see why 2pac's vocals couldn't have been cut and pasted to fill in on words he trailed off on, or add depth by adding a reverb or delay layer. then again, i also didn't understand why realest did the "troublesome, homie" in the intro of unconditional love.

I for one don't have a problem with them using The Realest on the track. I do have a problem with them covering it up though, and decieving the fans rather than just come out and tell the truth.

This feels like when you find out that one of the girls that you like the most waz being fucked by the guy you hate the most and now she is dirty and you cant stand looking at her.

for damn's sake!
its not like he written part of the song, he did FEW VOCALS to patch the song.
same happened for the sampled part of Danny Boy vocals on "Ghetto Star", hence that was a "sort of" common sample produced for building the instrumental it wasnt considered a sample and wasnt credited on the album

now if we think of when OutKast were across the studio recording at the time that Pac & Mosley recorded "Good Life", now if the fat dude from the OutKast made a loud fart you could hear thru the vocal layer of the song then why not credit him for that? ...

Considering how people feel about Pac and his work being changed or altered, I think the estate should have at least let people know what they were doing with the song rather than keep it a secret to the point where, as Ruk put it, people were silenced and told not to speak of it. I'm not saying they should have credited him on the album, but at least tell the fans what's up.

its a sorta thing that happened for the sampled part of Danny Boy vocals on "Ghetto Star", hence that was a "sort of" patch needed to make the instrumental the way the producer wanted it to be, it wasnt considered a sample and wasnt credited on the album.
the vocals recorded by The Realbuttfuck were needed to patch the chorus vocals the way the producer wanted it to be.
(but I also wonder why they couldnt do it the way Dante said before)
now if I record my cat to do some meaowww on my record, should I credit him for his minus appearance?
not being dumb, but that case is just a little fuckin piece of what happens on 2Pac's records, so I'd suggest u not to be bothered with it, but prepare for the latter ;x

You are not getting what I'm saying at all. I'm not saying they should have given him credit on the record, I've posted that a few times already. I'm wondering why they went as far as to try to silence people about it like it was some deep dark secret. All I'm saying is they should have let the fan base know what's up. Speaking about Ghetto Star, that's a good example of what I'm talking about. When Better Dayz dropped, a lot of people complained about Bad Azz being taken off that track. Afeni (or someone close to the estate, I don't exactly remember) let it out that the version with Nutt-So was the og and not the version with Bad Azz. They should have told people about using The Realest to patch up vocals on the track rather than try to be shady about it.

does anyone think the realest might've been the one who did the shout outs to g-unit at the end of Loyal to the Game? (G unit in this motherfucker)?

so uhm.. cant give you a clear opinion about it ;x
so uhm.. Dante might help us out on this. lol
Devious, I think you can try to see all the light you want in this quote of Rukas
Rukas said:
The Realest used it as leverage to get out of his deal with Death Row. The people that told us the information first asked Jon and I not to leak it for fear of retaliation, they were very specific. We have since heard information that was more "vague", and thus posted a reflection of that info.
kinda hard for me to explain, but a question might be: would the album sell even less more if we knew? ;l

@Bank Robber: no clue. I dont listen to that album and cant mind about it. har!

I was thinking the same thing .Why not just take the other parts where 2pac said "Ballad of a dead soulja" and just layer them up.. He said it so many times they could of thickened 2pacs own voice just with 2pac . Also just delay the layer like u said....Whos acctually doing this shyt? It seems a lil amaturish..

You have just answered why Tha Realist was not on the track.

Actually, if you listen to the track with an open mind ... You will pick up minute differences from how Pac rapped and how is supposedly rapping on the song.

Quit the denial and realise the truth.

Ruk, I can't believe after all these years the secret finally came out
