Nope, it does. But once you get over the nasty taste hump, it goes down like water. Which is about four beers for me. I lose my taste for it after four or so beers and I can just keep pounding them.

Yeah I'm glad that I'm not alone. I thought that most guys enjoy the taste of beer. I don't. But I don't whine like a girl. After I drink 1 beer I can keep on drinking until I feel that I'm tipsy enough without feeling that bad taste.

Take it easy for the next little bit ladies. I'm leaving first thing in the morning tomorrow and have 36 hours of travel time ahead of me. It'll probably be a week or two before I get a lap top. If you don't hear from me after that time, assume the worst.

Am I the only one that thinks beer tastes nasty?
Very much an acquired taste, like coffee or wine.

I do liquor. No mixers, chasers, etc. Just straight. And in large volumes.

I think that says more about manliness than aged piss with cum froth on top in a pint glass.

I think if you think what you drink proves your manliness then you are not a man. Unless you're the most interesting man in the world of course

I totally agree. There are women who like the taste of beer and drink a lot of it and they're completely not manly at all.

someone's gotta see what i did just there.

I drank a ton of beer during someone's birthday dinner a few weeks back. I was surprised. Maybe I was nervous since the girl I liked was with us, but it was given to us in a nice pint glass and that alone made me want to keep drinking.

Molson Canadian is the Budwiser of Canada. There are better choices in Canadian beer.
Like what? Molson might be the Budwiser of Canada in terms of popularity, but it beats Bud in taste hands down. In fact it might be the best domestic lager I've tasted. Kokanee Glacier Beer is another good Canadian lager. But that's it for lager unless you're thinking of local beers or expensive Belgian ale like Fin du Monde.

Maybe it's because I'm used to Molson, so that's why I don't see the big deal with it. I just find it surprising that Americans really love Molson.
When it comes to general [popular] lagers. There's Kokanee as you pointed out, Alexander Keith's is quite decent as well. Some of the Sleeman beers aren't that bad either. I know a lot of people that like Moosehead, it doesn't do much for me though.

In regards to local beers, I'm in Quebec which is microbrewery central, so there are way too many to name (La Fin du Monde, as you pointed out, is a Belge style'd Quebecois beer from a small place called Chambly).
