And it's a testament to the poor promotion/single releases by Amaru & Interscope...

Let's go back to when 2Pacalypse Now was released, Pac was a relative unknown compard to today, and that album was a platinum hit, then lets go today! some almost 15 years on when Pac has became the biggest most successful rapper of ALL TIME, and Loyal To The Game drops, but goes, PLATINUM?? are you kidding me?? after the HUGE fanbase Pac has built up how the fuck can that album be only platinum?? I'll tell you why, the piss poor promotion by interscope/Amaru...and ONE single?? what is the deal with releasing one single from every album??? you can do a good video for cheap, it doesnt have to be some Steven Spielberg shit with millions of dollars spent on special effects! a simple video of something like "Thugs Get Lonely Too" a simple video for that would of pushed the album right back up the charts, BUT NOPE! it never happened, you have to ask why?? like i said in another thread Interscope seem to want to make as much money as possible from 2Pac without spending a dime on videos or production! i know theres this "FreeTupac" thing Rukas has got going on, which you know, is cool, the fans deserve their chance to speak, I thoguht L2TG was a good album personally, anyway the point of this thread is to rally the troops i guess lol....If everyone is trying to point out to Afeni that they werent feeling the production, OK! That's good! we deserve to be heard, but we have like a year till the last album, SURELY, there is some way we can make our voices heard?? the last Pac album HAS to be promoted and have some singles released!!! I dont want my man Pac being overtaken in sales in years to come, he should go down in history as the biggest selling rap artist ever because quite simply he's the best! I've ranted on a little too much but im sure y'all are feeling me, do you people feel the albums poor performance sales wise was down to the quality of the album or the poor promotion??

hmm 2pacalypse now became platinium around the leaked of me against the world, not the year of his released i believe...
:thumb: it only took i think 6 weeks to touch platz not like 2pacalypse which took urrrrm 100+ weeks, give another 100 weeks and lttg will touch 2X platinum.

afeni i believe is still on crack so she cant hear us.

It's definatly down to poor promotion. Cos even thothe 'hardcore' fan didn't like the album cos of the production, the average fan would still have bought LTTG if they heard other tracks from the album, I think Hennessy would have been a good club track but they didn't bother giving it a commercial release. And wtf was the point in getting G-Unit to feature on the album if your not gonna let the public know they are on there? Wouldn't it be a better idea to let all those G-Unit fans know that those homo's were on the album by releasing LTTG as a single?

They didn't only fuck up the album by 'updating' the music, they also failed to use the 'updated' beats and guest appearances to gain any more sales from the average listener, which is worse than editing the tracks in the first place because it was all done for nothing.

I hate to burst your bubble but in years to come thats obviously gonna happen.

Remember before LTTG came out there was a petition supposedly getting sent to afeni regarding all pacs fans not being happy with the way his music was being handled.

What makes you SURE that will happen???? Eminem & 50 Cent are currently the only 2 people with ANY chance of overtaking him, and Em seems to be focusing on his producing and i think people are gonna get tired of 50 real soon...so his position seems quite secure for the time being

Well because pacs music sooner or later is obviously gonna run out, so in the future someone is gonna have more sales.

you're comparing apples and oranges. the climate and industry acceptance of hip hop is night and day from the early 90's to 2005. likewise, labels today buy their own albums to achieve early platinum status, which is an obviously shady practice that wasn't around back in the 90's. you have a point, but your evidence doesn't work.

poor production even more than pore promotion, actually i wouldnt even care about the sells anymore if at least a pac album was handled properly
