How much of your monthly gross income goes to rent or mortgage? i'm moving out in the next few months and hoping to get a place where i can pay about a quarter, but it's looking more like close to 30%. and by place, i mean, a room in an apartment two-bedroom apartment haha.

Renting 1 room in a 2 bedroom apartment? I've done that for a while when I was 18. Do you know the people you going to be living with? When I had done that, my next door roommate robbed everyones things and he left. Lol, he was a rookie cop too.

In London property is priced massively higher than most places, due to there being more people than houses. I was paying 60% at one point. More like 30% now.

A friend and I are gonna rent an apartment. It's not a thing where I live with someone I don't know, but a lot of people I know have done that. not a big deal.

I pay 13% of my monthly income, that covers full utilities, and rent. But I share a 3 bedroom house with a 38 year old women and 23 year old women. Not sure how much food will be as work pays for me to eat 16 days of the month and I just moved in today. Sounds like I'm pretty lucky.

yea, i'd say.

what industry are you in again? are you responsible for fracking? lol
I'm a geologist and so I work in the minerals and resources sector. At the moment I'm working in iron ore which is HUGE in Western Australia. I mainly do resource evaluation (assesing the mining feasibility of new deposits), but even guys in the mines who do nothing but drive dump trucks back and forth all day are EASILY pulling in 80k/year, I'd be surprised if it's not closer to 90k/year. The downside of this is that Perth is way to expensive a place to live for the majority of people who aren't in the mining sector (because of inflation), and if China's economy slows down, a big portion of this thing will collapse.

Fracking is oil and gas. Money is good in that industry but the work is pretty shit.
