As for the poor sales, it's bad yes, but to be expected, there is a global downturn in music sales, basically because of Itunes and shit like that, we all already knew that, factor in that this album like all the rest had little to no promotion, it was never looking good from the start, it still will go gold though and probably platinum eventually, thats if they bother to actually certify it

Bad promotion.. This album has some decent music, but they didnt promote it well.. Actually, they hardly promoted it at all.. Today, it's all about the Music Video, and they could've/should've made at least 2 videos (if not 3).. Dumpin', Pac's Life (a little better than the one they did) and Untouchable feat. Bone Thugs video would've helped a lot...
Or even a "Dont Go 2 Sleep" video, feat. Chamillionaire and Buck would've also helped a lot..

Too bad!! They can go cheap on everything but promotion and music videos!!!!

It would've went platinum very easily.

The album was so wack die hard Pac fans boycotted it. That is how incompetent Amaru is. People have had enough.

I see a lot of excuses in this thread but if Pac fans are refusing to buy the album because it's pop and poorly produced, where does that leave the average music consumer?

Pac hasn't been pop since Greatest Hits. He had a fan base that was the envy of rappers and it's dwindling because the quality of his album has steadily decreased over the years.

It's a bad time for record sales at the moment... Check how many rappers have gone platinum in 2006....

Pac's Life wasn't the worst album ever... But it didn't get a good enough promotional campaign behind it... I was fairly satisfied with the outcome.. I'm sure they don't want to release a subpar product.. But there are a lot of politics behind it...

The album didnt sell because its complete and utter shit.

Ive gotten sick of Dumpin now so that leaves only one song that i listen to now.Soon As I Get Home is the only song i will continue to listen to and ive had it for years already.

like pittsey said record sales aint just down to the promotion or as some of youse would say due to rubbish music but down to the fact sales in the industry are on a downfall

How could some of you sit here and convince yourselves that the album wasn't that bad. Man raise your standards people.

9 songs on an lp, where 3 songs are repeats. Complete trash album.

And lol at people buying the album because there afraid Amaru will stop releasing. Amaru isn't stupid to cut off there only source of income to help build the Tupac Center. Why would Afeni sit on thousands of songs for nothing?

If anything, it'll make them take a step back and let them analyze what they're doing wrong. Buying this LP won't help. Stop buying the shit or they'll keep pumping the shit. It's that simple.

No offense, but you need your brain examined if you think Pac has less than 30 songs to be released. Sure, I overexaggerated with a thousand, but there's at least about 150-175 songs that are left to be put out. Half of his music hasn't even be released yet.

wow i would have thought uv been here long enough to know pac has way more than 30 left. hell the unreleased list should touch 30 plus all the tracks we aint never hearrd of. tracks being repeated doesnt mean theyre down to the last few, it could mean many things. i believe its t do with this record being a tribut, buts that anoither discussion. and its verse not verses.

common fact, theres alot left.

Lol keep kidding yourself.

They use repeat verses and songs to ensure that Pac has many more songs left over for future albums and probably for more unknown reasons. Doesn't mean Pac is down to a minimum.

You have to be kidding me buddy. He made almost 3 songs a day on deathrow. The math has been even done on this before. Challenge if you want, but just door lookover the math. Like I said, less than half of 2Pac's deathrow material ALONE has only been released.
