Not Bad. Ill bump it. Fans should be more involved in Vol 2, which should definatly be completed.

Hopfully there will be more involvment with artists.

I like the cover alot too, looks really good.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the Album. It's nothing phenomenal, but it did turn out better then what I was expecting. My only real gripe with the whole cd is that a very shitty version the c-bo remix of never be peace was used rather then a cdq version. Really makes the track hard to listen to. Other then that though, besides some difference of opinion on the way tracks were produced, I thought the cd turned out pretty good. I'll be sure to pick up volume 2 if it ever drops. (Even with all of my bitching regarding the lack of updates on when the cd would ship.)

nothing great (i.e. 5 out of 5)) , but nothing wack either(1 out of 5). Good effort(3 pushing 3.5). Vol2 should be interesting.

Note: I still listen to the official mixes more than fan made mixes, although hearing dante's and projects like this is definatly worth it.

does anyone know if this is in stores anywhere? I don't like buyin shit off the net, and this record store in Hollywood is where I bought Son Rize when that came out. And if I am gonna go diggin for it in record stores, can someone post a pic of the cover? Would make it a lot easier to find if I knew what I was lookin for...thanks.

This is a dope album! With the exception of 1 or 2 songs, this is solid work.
I don't know where all this crazy negativity is coming from, but man I'm bumping this a lot.
Good shit and good work assasin. I'm glad I got this.

everybody needs to stop bitching. do you realise how much work was put into this? at least this mixtape was made with pac's real homies and not some fake ass bitches who were using pac for their own exposure. and do you think assassin made any money? all the money made was put into the pressing and printing for the mixtape.this was a mixtape for the fans and not for anyone's personal gains. that right there makes it worth purchasing. at least some people do care about 2pac's legacy and who are real.

only had a chance to skim so far. i may be wrong on some comments.

1. Intro. basically sets the theme for the album, with pac saying that g-unit, eminem, etc don't know him.
2. Get Money. rusd version with new hooks. song sounded empty before now that there are actual hooks. pretty dope song.
3. Under Pressure On My Block. you've heard it.
4. What's Up Wit Tha Luv. sounds like lp version to me.
5. Ghetto Gospel. mosely remix. you've heard it.
6. Black Cotton. a mimimalist beat. pac sounds good on it. there is some chopping (dj screw style) that is interesting, but i'd probably prefer a straight laced acapella.
7. My Ememy'z. this one feayures smurf and domination (ex-g-unit members). not 100% at the moment, but i think this is the best for my enemies mixtape joint.
8. Life's So Hard On A G. the og version. sounds enhanced. kept it pure as it deserves.
9. Never Be Peace. this is the c-bo mix that was on his west coast mafia cd. pac and c-bo over the bd beat.
10. Death B4 Dishonor. new thug life track with pac on the hooks. dope song. nice to see thug life members any time they drop something.
11. We Do This. sounded like the lp version from too short.
12. Love Letterz. you've heard it.
13. Niggaz Done Changed. had expected a remix since assassin has the acapella, but this sounded like lp.
14. The Life Of Danga. reworked pac vocals from let's get it on. dope song.
15. I'd Rather Be Yo Luva. a blend between the madonna version sans-pac and the unreleased version with him.not full length, which is good, considering we're not listening to the song for 4 minutes of madonna.
16. All Out OG Bonus Track.

like i said, these are initial impressions after a quick listen, so i may be off on some minor details.
After hearing it I agree with Dante's review :thumb:

Well I actually ended up getting the mixtape after all. My school forwarded the package to my house. Anyway, I feel some tracks like Get Money and We Do This, but I still have to listen to CD more. Hopefully they'll release Book 2 with that Real Bad Boys Remix on there. Peace...

PS: I just realized We Do This is a retail track which I haven't heard in a very long time :D
