Yea, there are about 250,000 poles living in Ireland now.

Ireland played Poland the other night in a friendly. Most of the support in the stadium was Polish lol.

Funny thing is that we here don't have many plumbers left :p
That is because the plebs is leaving our country invading other nations.

yeah uneducated Poles are really underpaid. Educated ones still have lower salaries than in England but it's not bad. We also have some unemployment - mainly in small towns and villages. Fortunately enough people from those seriously emigrate in huge amounts. For example I don't even know a single person from Warsaw who went to work in England. When I go to some small village in our mountains or by the seaside to rest all I hear is that half of their youth went to Britain to work for much better money. In their backwoods a construction worker/bartender would earn 400-500 euro/month max so it's understandable.
Bigger cities are doing okay. It's stupid that most people who emigrate barely speak basic English. I have no idea what the hell are they thinking.

the polish people i worked with spoke good english, though their cooking sucked compared to mine lol, it doesn't make much sense now that our economy is in crisis and unemployment is on an all time high, maybe its evidence of the fact that we are over worked and underpaid here in the uk, and charged too much interest/tax, the recession here is having a big impact on political economical principles

Most of the Poles i have worked with here have had great english. There was one guy i worked with last year, i was amazed at how well he picked up english words, phrases so easily.

It depends, sometimes english people say that somebody is good at english because he can form a proper english sentence.
Also maybe you've been working with people who had ambitions to achieve something after high schools or colleges.
My aunt moved to London about 30 years ago just after her studies and now is a microbiologist at queens institute.
People who aspire to work on a construction or some other common stuff don't speak english.
There are also a lot of people who have no skills at all, don't speak english and they think that they will get everything done for them there. Some hope that they will learn english in a week.

Sounds like some dirty sex act you'd find on Urban Dictionary.

"I gave your mom a Polish Plumber last night."

Make up your own definition for that one. Mine involved a vacuum cleaner hose, some potatoes, and a drunk cleaning lady.

Polish Plumber: A women pays for a sex act which should involve 1 guy for 1 hour.
Instead she gets 5 guys for 1 week, after which her pipes are still clogged and she still cant take a shit for a month

I never actually looked it up, but it's nice to know someone had made an entry for it.
