While we do not set out to promote any faith or religion over another, we do try to promote good natured and strong people and just causes.

Pope John Paul II has done more for impoverished people around the world than anyone else in his 26 year papacy, from Eastern Europe, Africa to Latin America, and around the globe. From his fight against Communism to his fight to unite different faiths and groups of people around the world.

We ask that no matter you faith or Religious beliefs, if you believe in the good of humanity and truth, please spare a thought or prayer for John Paul the Great, and what he has stood for over the years, during his last moments on this Earth.

Would you mind replacing Communism with Soviet Union as the ideology was never the problem, how it was expressed was.

And then I suppose it'd be best if you deleted this post.

^^ Thats wrong, Im not talking about the ideolgy of Communism, I am talking about the implementation of it as a Government system. Cuba was never part of the Soviet Union was it?

Please, have some respect. Dont turn this into a communism discussion thread if you want to do that do it in WOW. I swear, if anyone acts up in here, I will ban straight away. Show some maturity and respect.

The Pope was definitely a great man of peace, what is happening is very sad. Since I'm Polish, I feel something more for him and I pray a lot so he can die peacefully and without any pain. People should take example from him to be better persons.

While im not a very religious person, the pope meant so much to our community. He was a great man of wisdom, and gave much to those less fortunate. Sadly all men go, and it is very gloomy to see such a good man leave, but wherever he may be in his afterlife hopefully it is better than, this life.

Although I definately differ in beliefs etc. he has done a lot to try and bridge gaps between Catholicism and other religions, and definately has done a lot against imperialist regimes at times. So when his death is announced I will definately spare a thought.

He was a genuinely good-natured man who tried to help whoever he met. Be it from his time helping Holocaust survivours in Poland to his visiting the poor and sick as Pope. May he rest in peace.

it doesnt matter what religion you are or if he aint done anything for "you" you should at least show some respect to him, that other pope thread was fucked up, i dont mean no disrespect but whenever an actor or something dies people give all there r.i.p. and express how there sad but when a person of a "religion" that has done so much for people die, all these fuckers come and insult him, im not very religious but a great man is a great man.

Another thing i cant belive some of u people were actually dissin Johnny when he died, the O.J thing ended years ago, get over it, Johnnys career is more than O.J Simpson.

I definitely agree. Though I don't agree with his conservative views on things like abortion, same-sex marriage, euthanasia etc., I have to respect him as a person. He's charismatic, intellectual and magnanimous and benevolent. He's done tremendous good in his life time.

^^^ Nie ma za co.

Peace to you both.

I was lucky enough to meet the Pope as a young Polish boy living in Rome in the mid 80s, he means a lot to us all, Polish or not, Catholic or not.
