I personally think that the premiership is a bit better defensively and is more physical but in terms of attacking football and entertainment, La Liga is the best.

Good point there. Not just about Hajduk but in general as well. Why spend the big bucks on a coach that's not at all used to the team, the country etc etc? A second-in-command from the club itself can often take over very well and be a good coach in his own right.

I'd say save yourself the monay and invest in something else.

Metzelder was great in the WC 02 and good in 06 as well. Besides that, lol, like you said, he had way too many injuries. He will probably never ever get back to his old strength.
