NISSAN GT-R... official info!

well, the gt-r looks nice... i just think it'll take the place of the g35 amongst the asian kids as the new cool car to have... except not that many high schoolers will be driving them, it'll most probably be the young guys fresh out of business school... without getting to technical, i know the gt-r is a skyline which is the g35, but i still think the asian kids are gonna be after it....

No it's not. You are COMPLETELY wrong. Plus I wouldn't stereotype the Asian teenager crowd as being the only ones after it, that's just a silly generalization. Anyone regardless of age and race would be plain silly to not want one (though not buying one is a different story).

the skyline was not renamed the g35 in the US?? and the GT-R is not the skyline slightly redone and renamed?? what the hell have i been thinking all this time then?

and im indian myself... i sit down with indians and the eastern asian kids......350z or a g35 is the ideal car... ideal meaning something their parents would get them for getting into northwestern or something... that's what i meant.. of course anyone would want a free car... if a kia sorento were being given out for free i'd take it, let alone a 70k supercar...

we wont stereotype, but it's what escalades are/were to rappers... the "car to have"

Nissan deliberately dropped "Skyline" from the GT-R's name this time around to avoid confusion (since a lot of people, mostly Americans, tend to incorrectly view the two as synonymous), plus the Skyline/G37 Coupe actually share VERY little with the GT-R.

So then why is it that the vast majority of Escalade owners are actually upper-middle-class white people? Rappers constitute such a small portion of the market for ANY car, though certain carmakers try to make it appear otherwise for marketing purposes.

^ Whatever. I was just typing it how it sounded how when my friends taught it to me. Maderchod.

I can't wait until the bigger publications get a hold of the car and conduct their own all-out tests. Like I said before, edmunds.com already did their own on a privately-owned GT-R and they generally suck at acceleration tests, so you figure someone like Motor Trend or Car & Driver piloting one should put out some better numbers, though probably only marginally better at best since the physics involved in bettering a 0-60 mph time wouldn't equate to anything much faster than 3.2 seconds at best, plus the consistency of the dual-clutch gearbox probably minimizes human error.

But for those who care, I believe that it has broken the record for being the fastest stock production car to go around the Tsukuba Circuit, with its time being 1:02.xx (I forget the exact time).

Heh, it's shattering records right, left and center. And the harder versions aren't even out, yet.
