I don’t believe his story because so many people (a staff of over 200) could not keep this a secret. Period. And that’s only for his program. Supposedly, there were other programs that dealt with actual vehicles and perhaps even extraterrestrials, according to him. No way, not even maybe.
Also, I get a sense it’s made up not from any particular gaffe the writer makes, but from something in the telling. His personal asides seem calculated to make us think he’s being honest, which has the opposite effect on me. All that speculation of how “
We'd be capable of fighting back against them about as much as ants could fight back against a stampede of buffalo. But that's OK. We're the primitive race, they're the advanced races, and that's just the way it is. The other advanced races let them live through their primitive years back in their day, and there's no reason to think it will be any different for us. They aren't in the market for a new planet, and even if they were, there are way too many planets out there for them to care about ours enough to take it by force.” Yeah, ok, I read science fiction too.
All the two engineers who emailed are confirming is that he probably has an engineering background. Nothing he said about the technology hasn’t been speculated about by various writers who were extrapolating on where our technology might be headed.
This reminds me of Bob Lazar who came out in 1989 and said he worked at Area 51 with alien craft. His story is very consistent, too, but when his background was checked it turned out he was merely a repairman who had worked at Los Alamos, not Area 51. His explanation: the government took his records. You decide:
