hi,

im thinking of getting inked up!

two ideas;

"que sera, sera" which means "whatever will be, will be"

or;

"pain is love"

i realise ja rule has the second one. but regardless i really like it. it's a lot better than "thug life".

who else has a tattoo? who else is thinking of getting one?

share! post pictures!!

I'd go with "que sera, sera", it sounds better then
"pain is love" which is homo imo. Go for what means most to you though, or just get both lol.

I have the Lady Reaper on my arm and plan on turning it into a sleeve soon. This is the only photo I have where you can kind of see it though.

I know for sure that I want some sort of Lion on my shoulder. It's my zodiac sign, and b4 I knew that, I always loved lions. (though I am a dog lover). Lately, it has a little more meaning to me too.

But I wont get the Lion without a great saying that means something to me. I do know that I will get the initials of my best friend that was murdered.

D.H. underneath it. Probably something like this pic.

I went through many possibilities stuff from Pac all the way to famous literary poets, i can't remember them now but the one I truly considered from Pac was;

"Fear is Stronger than Love."

If I were you, I would get Que sera, sera on your forearm or shoulder. Just make sure that the tatooist knows how to spell it. :p

Might as well get paid to tattoo "Coca Cola" on your body if you're going with something that common and uninspired. Unless of course those phrases actually mean a lot to you.

i have the chinese symbol for "rage" on the back of my neck, if you read up on it it is more along the lines of "the person who bares this symbol has a rage in everything they do"not an angry rage. no pics at this time though...the only other i would like but have yet to find someone who could draw one up worthy of putting on my body is, i was born in the year of the ox, and in chinese zodiac it changes form through they cycle, i was hoping i was born under the ox in the steel cycle because that would have looked bad ass, but instead i was born under the water cycle...i would love to have a ripped ox on my shoulder drawn in water form with the muscles rippling like waves in the water, if i could find that i would surely get it on my shoulder or upper arm.

So, whats your choice now? Or you just don't want the tattoo anymore?
my reasoning for both tattoos seems somewhat shallow to me. these phrases were inspired by things i was experiencing at a particular moment, rather than having an underlying reference to my life etc. i was being driven by an impulse..and the meaning of both is only relevant because of a certain incident at a particular point in time. once some time passes, i realise that these phrases arent really that applicable anymore.

point is, i think too much

yeah I don't know, I think they might be too cliche. But then again, they're cliche because they apply to so many people.

I'll wait till I'm married and in my early 40s and be one of those rebellious husbands who get a tattoo and buy a harley chopper.

i swear there was a movie on this..

Don't think you need this advice but it won't hurt. First decide whether you really want a tattoo. Are you going to regret it when you're older? etc. Once you've decided that don't actively search for a tattoo, just let it come to you (you can do some research to get an idea of what type you'd like though etc.). When you find the right one(s) you'll know. Once you think you've found it you should get a tempory tattoo first. Then teh permanent.
If you're getting it as a symbol it should really be something you look at and relish.

and the meaning of both is only relevant because of a certain incident at a particular point in time.
If those moments were really important I think it would actually be a good to get them inked. Same thing with a good picture, it can bring back part of the memories/feeling of an event/time in your life. Not sure what you meant but I'm guessing you won't look back on those incidents forever so in that case .. yeah, no tattoo.

I really dislike tattoos. I find ladies with tattoos less attractive. If I really had to do one it would have to be something small and meaningless. I wouldn't ever want to expose my private life so people would ask 1000x what does it mean. Hell I even dislike talking about my life with my own friends, if I have a problem I want to solve it. Regardless of the outcome I don't want to discuss it again. If something nice happened to me I want to keep it to myself - make it my own personal treasure.
For some reason I always thought that tattoos are for low-class people.
